Gnomeo and Juliet - KidsAM at VUE cinemas, only £1.25 each, first week of summer hols - July 22-28

mummy2harrymummy2harry

From Friday July 22nd - Thursday July 28th (first week of summer hols for most!), VUE cinemas are showing Gnomeo and Juliet as their KidsAM film! Starting daily at 10am. My son (5 yrs old) saw this earlier in the year and adored it, and we're both happy to go and see it again!

All tickets are only £1.25 (kids and adults!) each so is a cheap morning out for us parents! You can also get a kids combo (popcorn and soft drink) for £1.65 now too at Vue while the Kidsam showings are on.

Seems to be nationwide from the long list available on the website. Pre-book to make sure you get your tickets, KidsAM tickets often sell out due to high demand in holidays, don't be disappointed!

SYNOPSIS:
Gnomeo and Juliet is the classic Shakespeare love story but as you've never seen it before. It's hard enough being a garden gnome, but it's even harder when you are trying to conduct a forbidden love story with another gnome from across the garden fence. Gnomeo (James McAvoy) and Juliet (Emily Blunt) are star-crossed lovers but with only the hours when the humans aren't around to get together and with the on-going hostilities between the blue and red gnomes, it's certainly not going to be easy. A stellar cast, music by Elton and the director of Shrek 2 make this one to watch.

A Turtle's Tale is this weekend and this week up until next Thurs 21st July. I checked with Vue (I emailed them) and Gnomeo and Juliet will be Nationwide from next Friday.

I pop in to my local cinema to book then you save the 70p per ticket handling fee which is a rip off, then its only £1.25 a ticket :)

Kids AM has been running for years at Vue Cinema's in Romford.

It's well worth pre-booking for the popular films though as they do get very busy and often sell out - or you can end up queuing for a ticket for 15 minutes before it starts. Hot price though compared to normal cinema rates.

Under the listing for Saturday there should be a button that says '+ see all times'.

This is at least the second time that this film has been on Kids AM screenings (my boys didn't like the look of it last time). So either it's very good or they are squeezing every last penny out of it - DVD is already out for about a tenner at the usual culprits - Amazon/Play/Bee/Base

Although the deal is good, the film itself is an absolute shocker. Not a patch on the stuff Pixar produce, it's basically a cartoon of Elton John indulgence

We saw this at vue kids a.m a couple of months ago, it was a good film actually and my 5 year old really enjoyed it

We got this on DVD and I was dreading yet another kids cartoon but I actually quite liked it. Enjoyed it just as much second time. Better than later Shreks etc.

You can do, as its over a week rather than just a weekend there should be less stress on ticket availability, however I always pre-book to avoid disappointment! :)
