So the day will cost you about £35 based on their average use...

I think if you look around this price is about the going rate...

Most paintball venues do deals like this normally as they know that once you're there you'll spend a load on paintballs anyway.

I found a cheap deal a few years ago where 100 balls were only £2, we all went a bit trigger happy and were using about 400 balls per game and spent about £40 for the whole day (including a couple of smoke grenades:thumbsup: )

My advice when looking to go paintballing would be to assume your going to use 1000 balls and work the price out from that.

it will be £6 per 100 balls if you buy them in a larger bulk number and £8 if you buy less.

one trick you might think about is working out how many balls you might need as a group average and buying the larger amount of balls from a group kitty. You might lso get a discount if you buy a large number of balls - don't necessarily need to tell them you're splitting them but you will need containers for them.

lastly, the more balls you have the more trigger happy you tend to get!!!

I used to play in a paintball team back in the mid 90's called "recon" (don't laugh I was a lot younger then :-D ) I used to run a gun called a WDP Angel, which at the time was one of the most advanced guns you could buy and on fully auto it could fire upto 12 balls a second! (although fully auto was banned so it was semi auto only so about 3-6 balls a second depending how fast your finger was). We used to go through about 1200 balls per 20 minute game! It was fantastic. have some great memories of playing back then and if you've never gone give it a go, it's a blast!

Cheers

i think its a great deal if you have not gone before. i,ve booked for four £20 all in. naturally if we go mad we will spend more on balls. But that is an option we might or might nor use..........it will be a fun day out before we have a few drinks. Sorted

Where can you find out which Paintball places his voucher is can be used in?

Guys, this is not a "hot deal". I organised a paintball trip last month and did quite a lot of research into the best deals.

You will find that all venues offer this basic package (equipment, 100 balls) for ~£5. However, buying this will lose you money as you will need a lot more than 100 balls.

A sensible active/aggressive player will need about 700 balls for a day of 8 games, while a new/scared/defensive player will need less.

Most places play 10-12 games in a full day, but if its hot, or your fitness levels arent great, you will be satisfied cutting the day short.

The packages vary from site to site, so check ALL local venues, and remember to phone and haggle - they usually offer you a deal if you do.

I ended up with a prepaid package of 500 balls per person, all gear, plus lunch for £29 each. We also received one free place and 1000 extra balls as we had more than 10 ppl in our group.

There were larger packages available for 600, 800 and 1000 balls, which save even more money if you need the qty, but we were all out of ammo after (i think) 8 games and were satisfied to call it the end of a good day.

The only downside to the day was the marshall thinking it was an army day, rather than a fun day!......didn't affect the games though.

I organised a trip through The Sun last year for several mates.
Paid the £5 for the day and got all the gear plus the 100 balls each.
We wound up paying a higher price per 100 balls, even for the box of 1000, than we would have had to pay if we had booked direct with the site owners.
This is because The Sun passes your details to a central booking agency in the South of the country. They then pass your details on to your chosen site.

Well worth doing some homework and finding a local paintball site for yourself and getting details of their all inclusive packages instead.
Skirmish.co.uk is just one company that have links to local sites.

Most of the sites I've looked at are generally £40 to include lunch, all the gear, 500 paintballs and even a grenade or two. They also do a free place for the organiser if you take plenty of people.

Otherwise it's a fantastic day out if you're brave enough.

is there anything to stop you taking your own balls bought cheaper elsewhere?

if theyres only a couple of us do we join a game or just spend all day shooting each other?

Alot of these Paintball places don't allow it, because they think it might mess up the gun and also they want you to buy the Paintballs from them (more profit)

Sounds like a good deal but they would have to pay ME to ever go paintballing again. I had viscious purple and green welts in places you dont want to imagine!

LOL - no, you join the rest of the crowd and are split into 2 teams for the day.

Sounds like a good deal, but should haggle for free paintballs. Worth a try.

Try airsofting, Full auto weapons firing 600-1200 rounds per minute. Guns that look like guns and not something out of a plumbing catalogue. Proper camoflage and not pink lycra, typical days hire for everything is about £30 depending on where you go, normally incudes hire of weapon, Camo's , approx 1200 rounds ( again depending on where you go ) and sometimes lunch.
I run a site and we sell ammo at £9 for 5000, we also have a number of ex paintballers who now are regulars with their own kit cos they found paintballing too expensive.

I've been paintballing about 50 times and never once have I ever worn anything other than camos. As far as i'm aware that's the norm for all paintball companies.

And i'm afraid the deal isn't too good - these new voucher type deals are a bit of a con. Better off ringing a paintball company and haggling. We paid 35 for 700 paintballs each, 2 smoke grenades and all other equipment etc last time.

I haven't phoned any site but looking at websites of most paintball venues the starting price seems to be £15, so I can't see how this can not be a hot deal.

Hi ddavis

Can you quote the company/link/phone to contact & get the same deal: 35 for 700 paintballs each, 2 smoke grenades and all other equipment etc...
I'm very very interested :-)
Thanks
