What is the likley hood of this coming down to the same price online? Just trying to decide if I should unwrap my copy of dantes Inferno or not.......

I prefer "Dante's Inferno" to any of the "God of War" franchise titles. As of today, you can download the "Dante’s Inferno – Trials of St. Lucia" Game Pack (£7.99/EUR9.99) & create your own custom levels/challenges for the title too.

Good price for "God of War III" in any respect. "Heat" added (although I suspect it may well be the same price, if not cheaper, online within the next week or so in the run-up to the first set of downloadable content for this title).

Yeah this works! Decided to go and check it out at Canary Wharf store by calling....but instead was taken to the Game hotline...so just followed the robot woman's instructions and asked for God of War 3 and even she claimed it £24.98...so obviously I said I'd go straight to sales and the gentlemen on the phone then told me the game was 37 something (the price online)...I said Ohh but the robot says this (24.98) and he was like ohh yeahh that's completely fine....did the detail swapping and am now awaiting God of War 3 for 24.98 + pp. Amazing!

If you cant be arsed to read all that...you can get it ordered over the phone for cheaper too. Cheers!

I'm playing this at the moment. Not usually a big fan of the hack 'n' slash style game but this has been good fun so far with some pretty graphically awesome scenes.

Although Game and Gamestation might be owned by the same group they are different stores.

Great deal. Just picked this up today for £24 from Argos with a voucher. Kinda wishing I saved the voucher and got it from game instead now!

Its a shame game arent more competitive like this all the time.

Heat added
#14
Brilliant price. I'm going to pick this up next week If the price sticks. Heat added.
#15
Grr, I just ordered this at the weekend from Tesco Entertainment with the 15% code for £31.

Great deal!
#16
very nice,... cant remember the last time GAME instore was the cheapest place to buy a game.

... havnt been into their stores for years due to internet prices & quidco :)
#17
don't suppose this will push down the price of pre-owned copies will it - sometimes pre-owned are almost the same as full price in GAME

Currys and PC World have the same parent company, but aren't the same company.

Game and Gamestation may share ownership, but they aren't the exact same company as conditions of the takeover were that they had to remain as seperately run entities.

Might not apply to online sales, however, which were always operated seperately from store retail when i worked for Game anyway.

Oh, and they own Gameplay as well.

hot hot hot - picked it up myself this afternoon - many thanks to akasmiler :)

I really didn't like Dante's Inferno, the trials were the absolute worst part too, so 8 quid on more sounds as tempting as tempting as brushing my teeth with a gilette mach 3. Everyone's got their opinion but I don't see why you'd like Dante's Inferno so much more as it rips off God of War wholesale but just not very well. I enjoyed God of War 3 and Bayonetta a lot more.

^^

agreed, played dantes inferno, was fun in parts but otherwise a whole lot of meh. god of war does it best and there really is no alternative unless uve only got a 360.

Expired...WHY?!
#25
This needs to be unexpired .. I picked up a copy from the Cardiff store a couple of hours ago .. Offer is on tomorrow as well..

When you buy games in store why don't they give you a factory sealed copy? Normally they make me pick a greasy box off the shelf then put the disc and booklet inside.

Saves space behind the counter I believe.

Try asking for a sealed (non-greasy) product. I often wait at the counter whilst the GAME staff have to "go out back" to get me one in a decent condition.

PS. "GAME sells ex-display stock as 'new' - Will refund or replace any non-'mint' goods bought at Easter"

Game 'gut' 2 live copies of each game for display, so, if they only have 1 or 2 copies left, it will be one off the shelf :)

They put a couple of empty boxes out on the shelves regardless of stock quantities ("out the back"), so I was told by the Customer Services representative I spoke to last about this.

Well,

They have the 'Chart' instore, for each format, around 20 games in the 'chart' these are mainly dummy boxes, e.g. number 1 on the chart has around 10 dummy boxes, and 2 live, number 2 will have 4 dummy boxes, and 2 live boxes...etc...lower numbers, e.g. number 18, will have just 2 dummy boxes...

The back catalogue (non chart games) are all live boxes :)

They dont like having empty spaces, so even if they are sold out of a certain game they still need the dummy boxes on display...

I know because I worked there not too long ago

Probs a bit confusing...

used to annoy the hell out of me when i worked there, because you could see the discs getting marks on them in the drawers on the little bit that was left exposed outside the manual.

You're an idiot and this has probably already been said but you need to be told.

Some people don't have Gamestations local to them (me for example) however I do have a GAME. This is a seperate deal at a seperate branch of shops. Just because GAME owns Gamestation doesn't make it the same shop.
#36

lol you really didn't need to create a separate deal. This one should be amended.
#37
probably not, but i was bored :)

Would either of you two care to offer some insight to your time at GAME in my thread?

GAME sells ex-display stock as 'new' - Will refund or replace any non-'mint' goods bought at Easter

Thank you.

Hopefully you both left because you wanted to & had somewhere to go, rather than were pushed out of the door.

This is tempting but I think I'll pick up the GoW collection first, then hopefully by the time I've completed 1&2, GoW 3 will be even cheaper.
If I'm honest though, I have way too many half finished games to even contemplate buying the GoW Collection XD

Wish I had a PS3 solely for this game!...
