I've just had a heads up from the Mrs (who works @ B&Q) that there will be another Going Going Gone sale at B&Q on Friday 19th October.
Unfortunately she couldn't find out what will be included as yet, but there will be the usual advertisement in Thursday's national newspapers.

Chipped Bark (65L) - 6 bags for £12
Polycarbonate Aluminium Greenhouse (w193cm x d65cm) - £20
Unfinished MDF Raidiator Cabinet - £15

I posted it now so people can sort out there sleeping patterns in anticipation for Friday. I'm pretty sure most B&Q open an hour earlier on these Going Going Gone occasions.

There was a pallet of decking in the Osbaldwick (York) one earlier, behind the staff only gates with PROMOTION ONLY on. So they may have decking again, like last time. It's a shame it was only 2.4m lengths and a different profile to their regular decking, as it would not match mine.

There is a greenhouse on the 3G event, think there are about 10 per store. Can't remember the size though.

Hi, does anybody know if the chipped bark is the stuff you can use in kids play area, or is it just decorative? Need some to make a play area so fingers crossed

I don't know the answer to that one. But bark for children playgrounds must conform to BSEN1177, and this will be on the packaging if it does.

anyone know if other stuff is likely to be reduced was planning on going to get some flooring for the kitchen this weekend?
#31
there was another thread for homebase they have 25 % off for flooring and on Friday only (I think!) they have an extra 10 % off
plus B&Q do a price match even for their own brands (or so im told!)

hope this helps!

The ignis oven is £232 at Next. Model number AKL887.

And exactly £100 dearer if you buy today (as opposed to tomorrow) from B&Q!

Doh! I probably won't tell her that then!
She was passing by that way anyway . . .

Now I've been put right off my work as I cannot stop chuckling at this . . .

Thanks for updating syzable and saintscouple.
As posted earlier, it will be best if you phone your local store to find out what time they open tomorrow. http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/templates/content_lookup.jsp?content=/bq/stores/store_finder.jsp&emptyLeftNav=true&linktype=topnav_storefinder&noleftnav=true&ts=1192711319467&menu=storefinder
I'm not 100% sure if they do open an hour earlier than usual but I do know they are expecting a lot of custiomers as the Mrs is doing overtime!
I'd love to know what a scarifier is though.....is it something off Monsters Inc.?
I'm sure the bark chippings are suitable for a childrens play area as we have some ourselves. I think it was 3 bags for £10 originally but be warned, it doesn't cover that much ground realy. We bought 15 bags of the stuff and still need some more!
[mod]#40
A scarifier is like a motorised rake, used to thin out the moss/clover from the grass on your lawn, lets the grass have a better chance to grow.
