High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) is rapidly emerging as the connection standard for HDTV.
HDMI combines high-definition video and multi-channel audio in a single digital interface to provide crystal-clear digital quality over a single cable.

Featuring Gold Plated Plugs
Tinned Copper Braid
Matt uPVC Shielded Jacket

HDMI offers significant advantages over analogue A/V connections, including the ability to transmit uncompressed digital video and audio content. This 19Pin HDMI cable has gold plated contacts for the best possible connection.

7dayshop.com cables are manufactured to the highest standards and represent our best possible value. Heat.
#2
and thus on the 2nd day of the week the "this is cold because a £1 lead from Poundland HDMI lead is just as good" began............
#3
but this is 10m, not 1m like the poundland one, or did I miss something?
#4
heat added - by far the cheapest i've seen a 10m hdmi cable for, tempted to get one to run from my PC to my new 42" LG.....

HDMI quality degrades over distance so
buy only the length you need. Also, the
quality of the product itself is important.
This is a good offer.
Heat added.

fair point I think everyone (inclduing me) missed the 10M length

just saw HDMI Lead £7.99

Bargain for 10m should not be cold (as long as quality is good enough for 10m I suppose). Would like someone to test this with 1080p picture and 8 channel LPCM sound and post if its ok.

Please don't come back with any "quality doesnt matter - its digital" because quality does matter the longer the cable (the signal is not quite a square waveform therefore over longer distances the peaks and troughs of the signal become less and less defined - if the cable is too poor quality the receiving equipment will not be able to tell what is actually signal on or not and you will get missing information).

Having said that I'm sure this would be fine for a Sky HD set up etc but may not be great for top end home cinema kit.

Another fickle heat regim, similar cable a month ago 300 heat.

I personally hate it when everyone starts talking about quality and perfection of images - who on earth sits there glued to their tv 24/7 and expecting cinema quality? I have a 50" LG tv (50PS800) and use v1.3 cables (now using 5 meter previoulsy used 1 meter monster cable) and to be honest I cannot see the difference between the images ( and I have perfect vision). The marketing guys have obviously fooled the public into believing their rubbish. Therefore heat added - excellent find!

Why would it not be great for top end home cinema?

Nicely done! It's tricky explaining how a signal cable works without getting into ISI and SNR and Nyquist theory. The symbols are a long way from square wave.
