Shows as £34.99 but changes to £17.99 when you add to basket.

Designed exclusively for Wii, GoldenEye 007 allows players to channel Daniel Craig’s lethal and gritty James Bond in an innovative, modern take on the legendary Bond adventure, GoldenEye.

Blending fast-paced first-person shooter (FPS) action with covert gameplay, GoldenEye 007 epitomizes the modern “thinking man’s shooter” by offering varied ways to complete each mission, destructible environments, the use of cover and multiple control scheme options, including the Wii Remote, Nunchuk, Classic Controller Pro and the Wii Zapper.

GoldenEye 007 redefines the multiplayer experience on Wii with unprecedented split-screen action featuring classic Bond characters and special game modes, as well as online play for up eight friends.

Key Features:

Wii Exclusive – The original GoldenEye for the Nintendo 64TM redefined the FPS genre, making it a best-selling title on one of the most popular platforms. As a Wii exclusive, the new GoldenEye 007 gaming experience will reflect modern technology advancements, while channeling nostalgia for fans of the original.

Split-Screen Multiplayer / Classic Bond Characters – GoldenEye 007 features an unprecedented lineup of four-player split-screen MP options, including 40 total characters, 8 classic Bond characters, 5 maps, 3 standard modes and 16 special modifiers that allow gamers to create over 500 different game combinations. GoldenEye 007 also features online multiplayer for up to 8 players designed for seasoned FPS online gamers with unique modes and a robust XP system for unlockables and achievements.

Choose the Way you Play – In addition to the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, GoldenEye 007 also supports the Classic Controller Pro for gamers who want to play with standard FPS controls and the Wii Zapper for “point and shoot” gamers; players will have several control scheme options, allowing them to experience GoldenEye on Wii any way they want.

nice find, hot

good price and it's actually really good for a wii FPS.
#3
Hot if HMV will send it at that price and not keep the order for close to 3 weeks before fobbing you off with BS about it being discontinued.

Seems to happen alot with their 17.99 games. Also, wasn't there a pricing snafoo with this very game a few days back?

Hmm whether to wait till it comes down...

I think this is it's 'come down' price. Wii's better games very rarely drop in price - there's so very few of them so nintendo need to claw in as much as possible.

I know what you mean nintendo must be really struggling for cash having the most popular handheld and home consoles of all time on their hands at the moment i bet they are well skint!

Have you tried playing Black Ops on the wii using the standard hand control and nunchuck ?!! . Darn its a nightmare. I guess it must be easier with the traditional style hand control.

HOT thanks been waiting for this price :)

Perhaps you have an alternative suggestion as to why ANYTHING with Mario in it is harder to shift in price than it is to get an elephant inside a taxi. Super Mario 64 DS has NEVER dropped below 20 quid new for example. I realize Goldeneye isn't a Mario game but given the fact it has one of those pointless nintendo TV ads dedicated to it, then they obviously view it as a flagship title.

Its amazing because tradition has always said that it was the quality of the games that made or broke a console but the wii has completly broken that rule. You have to be so careful what games you buy because they will release almost anything on that thing.

true about nintendo having the most pop handheld and console but they must take big losses on the games front with both being so easy to mod

It's the companies producing the hardcore games that will be being hit. Hardcore gamers that will want to play say Goldeneye or HOTD: Overkill will likely just download the game instead of buying it. Overall the number of modders compared to legit Wii owners is a minute fraction, Nintendo cream off the profits on Pokemon, Mario etc and are thus never likley to be in trouble financially

think this is being honoured. mine is processing through

same price instore?

now the move and kinect are out, you can expect a load of shovelware to come out on those two platforms as well.

and it's nothing to do with how "good" a game is, it's to do with whether it's 1st party (nintendo) developed or not. there have been plenty of very good third party wii games that have dropped in price like a stone (like any of the consoles), but nintendo don't NEED to drop the prices of the games they develop (or release as developed by themselves), so why would they? they will continue to sell well regardless.
the idea that it's because they have a need to squeeze as much money out of the "best" wii games is frankly, quite laughable.

might surprise a few people about worldwide sales etc if they explore a bit :)
