First post so god knows if I've got it right?? Just found these on the back of the Goldring noise cancelling deal that was posted the other day.
Don't ask me if they're anygood but Goldring have a decent reputatuion in the audio circles and this reviewer seems to like them.

Haven't a clue how to get the image onto this site! If anyone can point me in the right direction?

Cold. Absolutely pathetic build quality. Expect them to fall apart within a few weeks. Search the forums for the previous thread bringing up What Hi-Fi and the GX200s and you'll get a rough idea of how fragile these earphones are.

I had the What Hi-Fi ones, and they have been great. I sometimes wonder what people do with these things:?

Thanks dandoc2.

With regards to build quality, I have no idea never having owned a pair. Just thought they seemed a decent deal for a reputable make.

I have these and great sound quality and no problems with them falling apart.

Anyone know where I can get replacement tips from. I lost one of my middle size rubber tips.

I've had two pairs of these and using the comply foam tips I find the sound quality and isolation absolutely excellent. That said, my first pair had very stiff cabling and lasted about 8 months. My current, second pair have much thinner and more flexible wires that feel pretty flimsy...I don't think I'll be using them by Christmas.

At this price I'd be happy to buy two pairs in the expectation of them lasting as long as one pair of a more expensive item, the sound really is terrific once you get a good seal.

mine arrived with only one earphone working from play.com, i didn't like the ergonomics or build but some people may

They're not. They've bought their reputation by marketing deals with What Hi Fi and other organisations. Positive user reviews can mostly be attributed to the earphones being new. Mine were great too, for the first few weeks, until they fell apart.

The problem with the build quality is that there's no glue used in the construction. If you look in the photo above, the black part just pops into the red outer part. The black part is constructed from two halves popped together. It takes minimal force to break them apart, and that's what you have to apply when you're squeezing the foam ear plugs down. It's all thin, light, and delicate. Not at all solid and sturdy, which given the opposing forces these need to put up with, is lethal to them. For the first few weeks, you'll be really happy with them, as I was with mine. But mine lasted less than a month, they're so fragile.

I found these really uncomfortable to wear and went back to my Sennheiser CX300s.

Fortunately, they were free with the What HiFi subscription deal.

Seconded, sounded good but awful build quality.
