Did not know they were online, seen the outlet shop at a designer outlet not far from me,will have a look online now.
I had a look at this when I saw it mentioned on Quidco today. I was surprised at the lack of deeply discounted watches (1 @ 75%, a few at 50%). Considering that the regular stores happily accept Tesco vouchers, where Goldsmiths are effectively only getting about 60% of retail price for new models, I would have expected the outlet to have some massive bargains on old stock. In fact I got some real watch bargains on the regular Goldsmiths site a couple of months back, so really can't make much sense of this outlet site.

I admit there are more 75% reductions on jewellry, but the mark-up on jewellry is ridiculous anyway.
From what I am aware, you cant use the Tesco vouchers on sale or outlet that right?
Yes Goldsmiths only take Tesco vouchers on full price items. It appears that some staff at the regular stores have claimed that more expensive items are excluded, but there is no limit on the value of the goods you are buying. So, for example, you can turn £600 of Clubcard vouchers into £2400 of Goldsmith 'Deal' vouchers, and buy a £2400 just-released Breitling watch.

Since the companies that accept Tesco deals typically only get 60% of the value of the Deal voucher from Tesco I don't understand why the Goldsmiths outlet site doesn't have better offers on watches for what are mainly old stock.

In answer to my own question it might be that the companies such as Goldsmiths get their money from Tesco at the time the conversion from Clubcard voucher to Deal voucher is made and, like mobile phone cashbacks, a significant proportion of people will then forget about / misplace them. Which of course would mean that the company is effectively getting much more than 60%.
