not sure why anyone would pay £50 to upgrade to something that gets you like 3 or 4 channels in HD :/

Keep hearing this same comment every time a freeview HD box comes up. The channels in question are the ones that most people watch. And they are free!

Can somebody review the new BBC ONE HD channel with this box?

Can someone let me know if this (or something similar) is actually worth buying? We watch mostly BBC1, but is there a real discernible difference in viewability? Thanks, and NO I'm not blonde. x

Does this also record SD broadcasts?- we don't have HD in our area just yet but my other PVR has bitten the dust and I wondered if I could future proof with this one.
