Great deal for 8 mega pixels!

Not always the defining aspect of a camera, though. Infact, rarely do cameras get better in parallel with increasing MP anymore; lens quality is a far more important attribute of a digital camera.

eBuyer don't specify what type of lens is used for the Goodman's, so don't expect a Carl Zeiss.

Spot on. A 2 litre Kia cannot be compared to a 2 litre Mercedes just because it has the same engine capacity!

Well, my digi camera went up the shoot the other day - its a Fujifinepix 4mp thing - so I thought why not give this a go!

So I've ordered it. Will let y'all know what its like when it arrives........

Is it a Kia or a Merc !!!!?????

Welcome to HUkd's from me too bryntaylor99 :) Good price for this, Thanks!

Well, Mine arrived this morning (Monday).

First things first....... Its a tiny thing! But thats not a downer!

In comparison to my FujiFinepix A340 (4mp) camera (thats not working properly at the mo! This Goodmans camera is ACE!

The LCD screen is bright and clear (and almost as big as the camera!) and bigger than the Finepix!
The Zoom is far superior to the Finepix I've been using.
There are more features on this camera and are a darn site easier to use and navigate around!

But what of the quality of the Photo's????

Well - I am stunned! 8mp camera for this price that gives this kind of image - amazing.

The ONLY down side I can put my finger on is the short delay in taking the actual photo when you press the button - but half a day and I am over that.

Anyone after a very budget but non-budget quality 8mp camera.........

BUY ONE WHILST THEY ARE THIS PRICE!

Thanks for the feedback markopoloman  Whats the battery life like on this? ( i'm not too clued up on digital cameras)

You also have to remember when comparing Fuji.. that their hexagon style interpolation pixels mean that a 4MP Fuji is really only 2MP... so 8MP would seem a world away...even a cheap lens style ;)
#19
all the new fuji cameras don't double up now.
the lens quailty is just as important as the pixels.
#20
if its a 4MP Fuji, then its probably an old interpolated.

I agree totally tho, I have always used the car analogy. You get what you pay for generally.

And most Goodmans stuff breaks within 6months it seems :(
#21
Battery life! Only had it a day - so they are still fully charged!!!

The Fuji camera was nice - but felt cheap. This Goodmans feels very nice and looks good too. I hope it lasts longer than 6 months though:?
#22
Lens, build quality, sensor size/quality etc. all more important than pixel count - too many pixels actually prejudice the image quality. Buy the £50 Olympus instead...
#23
Tried to look into what lens type etc. But not really too much info given.

This is what I have come up with so far - so camera gubbins lovers can say how good or bad it is.......
