Too far for me, considering it may only be a few mins on the track. But otherwise a great deal for anyone who is closer and or is interested in the rest they have to offer for the day too. Heated.
Aaah, id seen that but not noticed the 'complimentary' part.
Cheers for that

Thanks for this. Does anyone know if they allow two drivers to do/share the course or is it one driver per session? I want to take the Boss along to this :)
Dont think so it's too short, but you can always try and get them to do you a deal over the phone. They have other experiences u can share like off roading

Great price, I've looked at these previously and struggled to get below £100.
Shame it's the wrong end of the country for me! :(
Here this event on sunday 1st may is completely free and u get a taster of the wet grip area in the BMW's for free too, thats the petrol money saved for the trip down south.

If we hardly use em in the Dry, then it goes without saying the Wet isn't going to matter.
P.S. How's your Renault Espace? Indicators the only thing left that hasn't been replaced? ;)

Renault what?

Just got back from Goodwood - traffic was chaos this morning - we got into the jam on the A27 at 10:30 and at 1155 decided to bail out, park up and see if we could see anything from where we were which was about 2 miles from the venue. Fortunately we checked the Twitter feed and heard of the 2 hour delay, so decided to walk in - we ended up with a good view on the South side of the airfield and thoroughly enjoyed the event - thanks to all involved in putting this on.
Never tire of hearing a Merlin overhead. :) Looks like one of the routes is close enough to make a special trip.

Sad, more so with the Lancaster and the Halifax that there aren't many more around considering the numbers that were flying during WW2. My Dad was a rear gunner - Tail-end Charlie, and flew in Lancaster's, can't begin to imagine what that must have been like when you're 19!
I get a little emotional whenever I see the battle of Britain memorial flight. Its only now that I'm older that I regret not knowing more about that part of his life but as with most, (apart from Granddad in Only Fools and Horses) he never spoke about it.
Same with my grandfather. With limited info to go on, I've managed to research his story quite well since, so if you've got somewhere to start like squadron number etc, then there's a raft of information out there.

I didn't have his squadron number but sent as much info, medals etc off to the RAF and just got his service history back that did confirm his squadron number. Not much more detail, apart from where he was stationed, but as you say it opens up more avenues now with the national archives now I have his squadron number.
great post op thanks!
