#12
That's a good price that.
I paid £360 for 4 a few months ago plus fitting which was £40 I think.

Brilliant deal, Halfords Autocentres are great

I'm always worried about getting new tyres. Currently have continental contact sport 5's. Which are around £120 a tyre. Are these better performance wise?
#15
these are the best available, they come highly recommended by all, the best tyre out there
#16
Paid £75 each for these other month. One of best on market.

Check they have actually put the right tyres on before you leave. Had some tyres fitted at a halfrauds a couple of years ago and it was dark when I picked the car up. Next morning found they had fitted an inferior quality tyre. Upon questioning the garage they said it was because they didn't have the size in that I wanted (despite booking it a week in advance) so they stuck on what they claimed were equivalent tyres without asking first or telling me. The invoice they gave me was even for the tyres I had ordered not what they had fitted. Ended up doing another 50 mile round trip to get them changed to the right tyre (with plenty of wheelspinning on the way there)

When it comes to Tyres I always buy the best. I've had Continental, Michelin Toyo, Vredestein and Pirelli on various higher bhp front wheel cars. These GoodYear's outstrip them all in.wet and dry performance in my experience.

That's exactly the way I look at it. After all its the only part of the car that touches the road. I've been quite happy with my conti sports but if people are saying these are better and cheaper then I will have to try them next tyre change.

Thanks

halfrauds auto centres are terrible, will never use one again! biggest bunch of money taking cowboys around.

My old MX5 was a very tyre sensitive car, but it absolutely loved the Goodyear Eagle F1! Cracking tyre.

Wouldn't bother with them for the current Golf though.
#26
Excellent tyres, great grip and very quiet. What I didn't like was the mileage I got, barely managed to get 10-12k in my A3 TDI. Would still buy again. Now trying out Goodyear efficientgrip II.
#27
Anyone used the one in Paisley?

yes you were looking at the run flat version, glad you got there now

I have these tyres on my BMW 3 series coupe and I ordered them through blackcircles.com, the only problem I've found with them is that you need some trial and error in order to find the perfect tyre pressure. Even with the tyres inflated, they still look a bit flat but otherwise they perform well. I also got laser geometry alignment from the garage, there wasn't much adjustment to be done as my car is relatively new but my brother in laws older car was driving much better afterwards

£362.36 delivered from camskill. Then you can pick someone you trust to fit them. Cold from me I'm afraid.
#33
Do you have a direct link please?
#34
would it not then be £60 to fit (4) them - £422.36 ? Gone are the days where it was £5 a tyre to fit :)
#35
camskill not worth it once u factor in fitting, you wouldnt even break even on this.
#36
Great tyres, ran these all summer.

agree

F1 autocentres are always the cheapest by far for tyres. Spend ages looking elsewhere because they are crap for everything else but can't beat them (£15 cheaper on Avons for 2) for price. And they promise 10% cheaper

If you let Halfords do his job they will somehow end up warping your cylinder head- don't let them touch your car!

Great tyres , on my second set supplied and fitted from VW for £440 so definitely hot !!!
