sorry cold for me, I work for Michelin :p

I suspect these may be an old model, the current version is called Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance. The latest tyre test I can find featuring Goodyear EfficientGrip is from 2012.

it does seem that these are the 'performance' ones anyway

Lots of people. 205/55R16 is one of the most common tyre sizes.

Steer clear of formula 1 autocenters . You will very rarely pay the price advertised as they add so much on top of the price . I get Dunlop blue response from bobs tyres stevenage sg13hh 72 all inclusive no hidden extras

My Corsa does, and annoyingly it takes the same size tyres as BMW Minis do, driving the price up because Mini owners have more more money than sense :-)

good deal but the staff in there are a bunch of w*******
had call saying tyre would be in next day. turned up for fitting and they told me later that day. came back later told me delivery driver was lost and then tried to rip me off for £60 the next day saying my tracking was out. got mate to check it and was fine. don't let them give you bs

horrible tyres! after 1 year completely worn to fabric..

How many miles did you do on them? Have heard nothing but good things, including from the guy from Grippy (excellent service from them, btw) who fitted them.
#23
Exactly my point . Don't use formula 1 for tyres . If you are near sg1 3hh call bobs tyres stevenage for an honest opinion.and cheapest prices.

Shouldnt drive the price up, more popular sizes tend to be cheaper. My car takes 195/55R15 which is pretty uncommon and they are expensive.

Good deal for a great tyre.

Although I always point out Tyre Leader for the cheapest tyres around delivered. After that depends how much you can get them fitted for. I have a place near me for a tenner a corner fit and balance. Which makes those slightly more than these fitted (but I have no f1 autocentre anywhere close to me 45 miles lulz!), probably more for most other people but they are cheap there if you are interested.

The Goodyear Eagle F1
Asymmetric 2s are much better tyres.
#27
Another vote against F1, shocking awful company. Fail to get tyres delivered for the booked date and don't bother to tell you.
#28
Good tyres. Paid 70 each at halfords last year
#29
good price but personally don't like these. had them on for a few months now and about 6k in and they are still really noisy. could also be because of size and profile so smaller ones are better, but in hindsight I regret buying them due to noise. However they grip VERY well.

Depends what you fit them to. On a hot hatch or sports car, probably yes. On something else where economy and ride, noise etc trump handling in the importance stakes, probably no. Besides, don't think they do the F1's for this size do they?

Fuel economy and noise are about the same but grip is much better with the Asymmetric 2. Yes you're right about the size, I was looking at 17" tyres, I think 16" tyres are less common though of course some people have them!
#34
These tyres are nice, gives a decent amount of grip in the wet but in the dry, some other brands seem like it has better grip. These tyres are quiet and overall I would recommend them but there is a fair bit of tyre roll which doesn't inspire confidence as handling gets a bit wallowy!

Both our focus and zafira do so I am betting they are pretty common.
#36
I have these, paid about £280 a year ago for 4 at Halfords. Good price. Worth the money. Once you get good tyres you won't want to go back to cheap brands again. Didn't really notice any improvement in fuel economy, but they were quieter from the Pirellis I had. Grip is very good too. Dependable.

The EfficientGrips are awesome - same compound as the more expensive Eagle F1's, just cheaper.

So Bob ripped off you by min £11 per tyre...
Paid £122 for two Dunlop blue response 205/55/R15 91V last week, ordered online (after quidco and 5% off code), fitted in Bletchley. No questions asked, no extras added, I have asked to do free wheel alignment test too, showed nothing more that I already knew. That was my fifth call for tyres for three different cars and all the time f1auto was the cheapest.
