Amazing phone for an amazing price. The device and accessories are in pristine condition. Refurbished products come with a 90-day warranty. AC adapter + USB cable are included.

To get this price you just need to add a cheap screen protector from expansys, cheapest at the moment is 39p and the use code JANOFFER25.

This went very hot a month ago £89.99 without a bumper case. So I hope this helps others get a decent spec phone at a affordable price.

There are currently lots in stock at time of posting I'll add links in first post for screen protectors and also the 16gb version.

The only ploblem with this phone is battery. It is not brand new and having unreplacable battery for minimum two years phone is rubbish unless you like to charge it four times per day. Hot anyway cos i like the phone

IMO this has too much heat for a refurbished, 2 year old phone with no 4G capability or SD card expansion. You can get a brand new Moto g 2014 edition for £20 or £30 more and that's a much better Android phone.

- No wireless charging
- No NFC
- Looks ugly (subjective, but my opinion at least)
- Won't get updates as fast (my Moto G 4G 1st gen is still on KitKat)
- Developer community won't be as good

These factors might not matter to you, but I suspect they do for a lot of other people.

Screen Protectors here to add to basket to get the price over £100: http://www.rakuten.co.uk/shop/expansys/search/screen%20protector/?s=2

16 gb version + bumper case here: http://www.rakuten.co.uk/shop/expansys/product/269861/

Remember to get this to work you need to be a member on rakuten.co.uk and enter JANOFFER25 at the checkout. Your order must be over £100 for the code to work so you could add a case for the Nexus 4 if you like.

Installed an Android 5.0.2 ROM on mine last night. Really smooth performance. I'm actually considering selling my iPhone 5 and using the money to get a smart watch to pair with the N4. Still a fantastic phone in my opinion.

I've had this phone for almost 2 years and think it's great, especially for the price. Stands up very well for a 2 year old phone.

However, it doesn't have 4G, the camera is mediocre and as stated previously the battery life is terrible. I have to carry an Anker portable charger around with me if I'm going to be away from home/work for more than a few hours.

I can only agree with you. Camera is basic and my battery does hardly all day. Good for people with light usage of phone. Anyway I am happy with my 2 years old N4

Never understood the term 'refurbished' for a phone. What exactly does that mean. My guess, nothing, just that its in good condition.

Still a top phone. Took the back cover off the other day and it looks like the battery is easily enough replaced

It's one of those retailer euphemisms for 2nd hand we've all bought into. Refurbished, open box, factory reconditioned, etc etc

owww, why do deals like this always come up just days after you have bought another phone!?!?!?
#15
how terrible is battery life on a 2 year n4 after the lolipol upgrade?
if its about the same as a onex then its pretty bad.

theres an amazon warehouse sony sp deal as well, and was considering which one to go for (given that sony probably has a better camera).

I love my Nexus 4 but I want to replace it with something 4G. I find most of the new phones are too big but this is the perfect size, any suggestions?

I just replaced mine with a HTC One M8 and found the Nexus 4 to be much nicer :-( HOT DEAL

battery is far better under lollipop

seems the only bad things people have to say about these is if you get the 8gb instead of 16gb and the battery life

if you got a new battery (around £10 on ebay) and then plumped for the 16gb, would this be a great deal?

I just bought a moto g 4g for £105, see the thread. A surprisingly well built phone and a good size. Easy to unlock bootloader and root too.

I have a N4 for nearly 2 years and really love it.
My only complain is the lack of card slot as 8GB storage isn't much. A 16GB would be fine for me, I guess.
Battery life is ok in my case as I'm not a heavy user.

I'm also looking for a 4G replacement.

Great phone, I lost mine and replaced it with a LG g2 which is no where near as smooth, better camera and hd screen yes but I prefered my N4. mine was 18 months old and battery used to easily last me a day and half still.

I have bought many refurbished products that are described as either grade A or pristine. This will come basically as new and so will the battery. If you have any problems you have a 90 day warranty. Personally I find all batteries on smart phones rubbish for my usage. I currently use a HTC one m8 and my previous phone was this. I really liked the Nexus 4 but my only issue was the camera.

I used the Nexus 4 for a year or so (bought second hand) the battery really wasnt so bad (coming from an S2) - I usually had around 30% left from around 2 hours of music playback, internet browsing, a few games and tonnes of emails by the time I got home. Ive recently got a G2 and I have around 60% when I get back home. So the battery life isnt that bad but could be better, the camera on the Nexus 4 however is really crappy lol

I have this phone and you can't do better than NX Experience ROM. The phone is fantastic with this ROM >

https://nxrom.us/n4.html

It's not the fastest phone in the world now, but it's still very decent with Android 5.02 Lollipop on it as per the ROM above. I also use Nova Launcher and have all the settings set to Faster Than Light. Lastly I use Greenify to hibernate background apps, way better than a battery saver (Lollipop manages that very well already - project volta) and much better than a useless task killer.

Ace phone. Had mine over 12 months now and stock Android 5.02 Lollipop gives it a new lease of life. If you wish to store more than minimal media on the phone then dont get the 8GB model, the 16GB is a must. TBH even with 16GB i'm regularly having to swap music and audiobook filres around. I use a RINGKE FUSION Shock Absorption Bumper + Anti Scratch Clear Back CLICK HERE together with a regular screen protector and cannot recommend the case more highly - although it is looking relatively expensive at these cheap prices.

I had one for 6 months. Great Camera and good phone. However I lost it and replaced with a Moto G 4G. How do they compare? The Moto is a tad smaller so fits more securely in my back pocket. The Nexus has a much better camera. The Moto has much better battery life - which I measured by how long they could run my cycling app "Map My Ride". The Nexus lasted 3-4 hours. The Moto lasts all day. As I go cycling all day I've found the Moto G is my winner!

I've had one of these since near its launch (I bought it Dec 4 2012) and I have no major problems with the battery, yeah you have to charge it daily, but thats with WiFi and Bluetooth on 24/7, and thats no different to any other smart phone.

The real power hog on these is GPS which is significantly worse than on other handsets in terms of power usage.. I can run it flat in an hour or 2 with GPS on using it for navigation..

It's certainly not as bad as you make out though, and with Qi you can have a wireless charger at home, work and in your car, so its really not a problem, drop it on the charger when you are near it and it'll charge itself back up.

Great phone and price, I'd just worry about the battery on a second hand model.

i would totally have bought this had i not got the Galaxy S4 Active last week. Im sure I will love the new phone but that extra £100 extra it cost will leave me a little peeved im sure!

battery is far better under lollipop

Plenty of reports to suggest this isn't the case but i noticed a definite improvement that made me think there was a problem with the battery state indication but everything was fine.
#34
Mine's definitely no different under lollipop, apart from when it turns everything off and makes the bars orange in battery saving mode.. but i could have done that myself and it would have lasted longer on pre lollipop images, so I would say there's no difference.

Ive got the 8 gig one and the memory is not enough
