Not sure where you got your information from, but the current model has a resolution of 2560x1600, which surpasses full hd (1920 x 1080).

You must be confused, are you thinking of a different device? Having used every generation iPad and several Android slates this is the quickest tablet I have ever used.

Really? Well you must of picked up something else since the back is rubber.. Wallet wasn't the issue - I paid top dollar for Apple's finest previous to this (because of the retina display) but got peed off with having to jailbreak just to do some basic things like open an email link in something other than safari.. Even jail-broken it was tough to live with - the lack of a decent keyboard alone was driving me potty as compared to my android phone.

Price looks OK to me, I want to replace my mk1 Nexus 7 with a larger screen tablet, which must have a HDMI outlet to connect to TV. This looks perfect, unless there is something cheaper.

Ace tablet. Bought mine in January and as android apps gradually catch up with its superior spec and the android os improves, it is just getting better and better. For HDMI you will need to get a micro hdmi to hdmi converter to use your existing cables. I stream Netflix through my tv and it works flawlessly. Only oddity is that the screen on the Nexus 10 doesn't switch off when you use HDMI - no problem really. The two front facing speakers are so much better than ones that point backwards. If you get the 16GB version, then you may need the Micro USB Host Mode On The Go OTG Cable together with the Nexus Media Importer app for an inexpensive but effective expansion solution.

Only difference i can see with the us version is that you will get a mains plug converter with it and the odd app (if any) may default to the us. Not a problem. Good price even allowing for a rumoured revised Nexus 10 incoming. Get the Nexus 10, you wont regret it. One thing, i'd clarify the warranty arrangements before committing though.

no warranty on a tablet notorious for faults. go to xda for proof.

What are the faults? Are you talking about light bleed?

I had one of these to do development work on for a while, I wasn't that impressed to be honest, found it a bit laggy.

Please, if you don't know what you are talking about, keep quiet (and possibly read the specs on the actual deal?).

Not quite as sharp as the new nexus 7 which has 323 ppi , but this has 300 ppi so still above most tablets for the price . Hot

I've got one of these and it's a brilliant tablet. Sold my iPad to get this (higher screen res and far less restrictive an OS) and have never regretted it (also got some money back since people will pay stupid money for ipads - just like I did when I bought it).

BTW it also has a magnetic pin connector for charging and if you get the appropriate cable (cheap) then it'll not only be easier to hook up but charge faster too. USBOTG works too so you can plug in memory sticks with a cheap adaptor.

Traded in an iPad 2 for one of these, never looked back. It's had its issues (occasional random resets, infrequent overheating) but it's a superb tablet. The screen is excellent, especially for photography. The lack of SD card compatibility is a shame but I've gotten round it with USB OTG and cloud storage. £270 is a great price for this.

Yeah this does bug me a little - but then in all honesty i've never used up all the storage on either my nexus phone or tablet. The only time I need big storage is travelling (can plug it into hotel TVs and watch films etc) in which case I need a LOT more storage than is available on any tablet (but is cheap in USB key format). I appreciate people have different needs etc though

Got to love some of the comments on this forum:

    Not full HD screen. LOL

Its plastic. LOL. Rubberised back is a pleasure to hold, wish my phone had it.

SD cards and greed: Google are selling this top of the range tab at a low profit margin as they want you to use their cloud services. You can see other inferior (Samsung) tabs sell for about the same. Still, I use this when I go on holiday and it works a treat.

New one coming out.... yes ... it will be a good £80-£120 more expensive IMO.

I have nothing against the iPad. It works for the majority of people because it is a simple and but it can be limiting. Prefer the freedom to manage my files, view widgets on my N10.

    Oh, hot btw

I'm not sure how not supplying a memory card slot is greed anyway. They sell tablets at virtually cost.
