Hokey dokey then! It's the N5 at a lower price that the Carphone Warehouse deals! I don't think I need say anything more.

With a stunning 5-inch Full HD IPS display, Nexus 5 boasts an expansive screen for an unrivaled visual experience. The lightweight smartphone comes in a 16GB version and is the perfect combination of powerful performance, functionality and convenience thanks to LG’s proven hardware and best of Google (TM) software and services.

Capturing the Moments that Matter
The camera in Nexus 5 features LG Innotek’s acclaimed optical image stabiliser technology which was first introduced in the LG G2. Mated to an 8MP camera with longer exposures, less blur and less noise, Nexus 5 is unmatched in dim light performance. Nexus 5 also includes Photo Sphere making it easy to capture a series of photos and turn them into a seamless 360-degree experience. And Google can create Auto Awesome photos and movies from the content in your library to share with friends and family. Moreover, the improved HDR+ mode in Nexus 5 instantaneously captures a burst of shots and applies computational photography to intelligently fuse these images together into one perfect photo with a greater range of shadows and light culled from the multiple exposure and colour data.

Packed with Power & Speed
Nexus 5 is the world’s first phone running Android 4.4, KitKat, offering the power of Google in a thin and lightweight device that still manages to feel solid and reassuring. With a blazing fast SnapdragonTM 800 processor and 4G/LTE, Nexus 5 also boasts a 445 ppi Full HD IPS display with advanced in-cell touch technology that enables faster touch recognition, better outdoor visibility and crisper images. This set of features is packaged in a sleek, modern design that leaves no doubt that this is Google’s premium smartphone.

Best of Google
Android 4.4 is fast and powerful yet simple to use. The new dialer automatically suggests people the most likely call while Caller ID by Google matches an incoming phone number to a business even if that number isn’t stored in the contact list. Users can send and receive text messages directly from Hangouts, and Hangouts for Android now supports location sharing.

With Gmail, Chrome, Calendar, Maps, Drive and Hangouts, Nexus 5 helps users manage their day-to-day lives with familiar, easy-to-use applications. With Google Now, initiating a voice search is as simple as saying “Ok, Google,” and with more than one million apps and games plus movies, books and music on Google Play, it’s easier than ever to find what you’re looking for.

They are UK based, reviews for Mobile Phones Direct are pretty good although people have had issues with cashback - however seeing as there is no cashback involved in this I would say you are pretty safe to order.

Shame about the battery.
I have thought about the battery many times and the new update Android L promises 30% more life on the Battery, so I think that will be good, it will never be an LG G2, but it will be close. and what you are getting for this money is a steal.

Do they still have stores?

Do they still have stores?

Does not seem to have a retail outlet - perhaps they would be ok if you wanted to go to the head office, if you fancy a drive to Newbury. These will be covered by UK Distance Selling Regulations so if you are not happy with the device you can return it within 7 days for a full refund.

I have no issues with battery, well over a day, with lots of use.
#13
Topcashback available as well

With a custom ROM and a custom kernel, my battery rivals any other phone on the market

The warranty will be with LG I would imagine as they manufacture the phone, it will come with warranty for certain - it is brand new.

What's better value? Moto G 4G which is only 8GB but has an SD slot for up to an extra 32GB, or the Nexus 5? While 1080p 5" is nice, 720p 4.5" is still good too and probably easier to use.

The Moto G is probably better "value" but the N5 will kick the living sh1t out of it performance wise.

Depends on what you want from a phone, My son has the Moto G 4G and it is a fantastic phone, very fast, smooth and pin sharp display, on the other hand I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 at the moment and obviously with advances in technology the Moto G makes my phone look old and slow, But I want to go for a phone that will be a big upgrade to what I have and the Nexus 5 fits the picture with the bigger screen, very fast processor and so on, I would have liked the LG G2 but it is too expensive for me.

Bought this on Ebay few days ago for £220, so for this price from a dealer its an excellent deal > Battery life if absolutely fine for an android user who can make a few tweaks (just google).
FAST, wireless charging, always updated are the few things that tilted the balance for my decision to buy this phone. Just go for it if you are in two minds.

Great phone, just upgraded to the LG G3 though. The battery life on the Nexus 5 is atrocious though, and the camera isn't up to scratch. Wonderful phone otherwise.

I've got this phone, at that price its a steal. I'm very happy with the camera, it has OIS which is good and the next version of android is tipped to get 30% better battery life.... and with this phone you're the first to get the update.

For those who say that it lasts for more than a day... do you leave your phone turned off all day?!

I've had this for a few weeks now, and I can say that you'll get a maximum 5hrs screen on time if you're lucky and 3-4hrs if you're a heavy user (calls, texts, socialising, playing 30 mins, browsing, little mobile data).

I've undervolted my CPU a little (usually doesn't get very hot anyway) and underclocked to 1.5GHz which is runs perfectly fine at! No lag or problems, at least for me. Your CPU will be different in some way.

There's a problem I face during calls where the person on the other side sometimes can't hear me for a few seconds. It seems common and can be very annoying.

Besides that, the camera is actually quite great and boy is the screen sexy! I miss my AMOLED but LCD is so beautiful.

I got mine, white £32GB, for about this price, not going to explain how. Would recommend to anyone who doesn't want to wait for the next Nexus.

Sorry, I meant 3hrs if you're a heavy user.

Don't think so. I think they used to run the Nokia branded stores back along.
