I still got a 40 quid samsung pay as you go that's about 5 years old. Costs me around 5 to 10 quid a month in top ups ( and I don't like it when its 10 lol). Before that I had an oldie nokia for about 8 years until I dropped it. A fool and their money... springs to mind.People say "I cant afford to buy house, I cant afford a car" Then you realise they spend all their money on phones, large tvs, smoking, drinking, clothes, buying rolls at work instead of packed lunch etc. Oh well each to their own, enjoy your phones.

    The Moto G lovers are back.... They seem to invade every deal posting at the moment and are like a wasp at a barbecue trying to convince everyone that we are being ripped off if we pay for a handset that people like and want through their own free will.


    Why is it every deal degenerates into a moto g post or even worse an apple vs android slanging match!! I am a massive android fan, I like being able to meddle with my hardware and software and improve and tweak things. I don't care if someone likes apple stuff - it's their choice, leave them to it, no need for one to beat the other up, people who do that makes themselves look really silly.


    The Moto g comparison to nexus 5 is stupid. One has 4g the other doesn't. One has a lower res screen the other doesn't. These two things alone create a huge gulf in battery life for starters!


    I trialled a Moto g and for the money it's a great buy. But I like a better camera, slimmer build, better res and 4g - the facts are there is NOTHING out there at this price that competes brand new!

    Who needs 5 hours continuous video streaming without being anywhere near a power supply to recharge? If anyone is regularly spending 5 hours a day watching video on a 5" screen they'll be blind by 35.

    Always baffled me the battery life debate, I charge my phone next to my bed overnight, i can't think of a time when I wasn't able to charge my phone overnight - I even managed this in Papua New Guinea. Why it would need to last 2-3 days between charges baffles me?

    including a potentially exploding battery! ;-) As removable batteries are replaceable, lower quality batteries are used. Also, Samsung uses lithium ion technology, which degrades faster than lithium polymer that you'll find in the Nexus 5 or iPhone 5. Just something you should bare in find, It's not as simple as, it's replaceable, thus better, there are other factors to consider.

    What you find pointelss, I find interesting. Surely you've seen deals and wondered why they didn't have more heat and wondered why others got so hot, regardless of the product?
    I posted a deal on champagne a few months back that was the best price I'd ever seen on Veuve Clicquot and it gained no momentum, yet a more expensive deal around the same time hit the front page. I guess timing has a bearing on these deals too?
