Been looking for a deal with this phone for a while. Not bad considering the device alone is £599. Not great either. Whatever. EDIT: £20 off upfront cost with code EEMAZIN Read More

I can see why this is getting cold votes. the phone and network are great but with only 2gb data it's audience are going to be very limited.

if you can sell the contract to someone who doesn't require much than fine but otherwise you would have to wack on more data for a lot of cost.

I believe it was well overpriced in the first place (unlike the initial Nexus phones) also did not like the large bezels at the top and bottom (that you expect not to have on a top of the range phone) and also no memory card slot (might be ok for some, but I prefer not to rely on cloud services when for the price of memory nowadays they could have made it 64gb minimum).

What's the monthly cost and 2GB data just ain't gonna cut it? ;)

I agree it's overpriced in the first place. Doesn't help that EE have exclusivity on it meaning there's not much competition for price wars out there, plus Google have obviously leaped on Samsung's Note fiasco and taken full advantage of the premium Android device market. Perfect storm for them. Hopefully this will change soon, but this is the best deal out there at the moment.

Anyone have any handset (unlocked) only deals/discounts they could share?

£20.99 per month over 24 months. Can't believe I didn't put that in the title, soz.

Any reason this is cold? E2save still have the bad rep they used to have?

Overall it works out ok if you want this phone and are happy with the low amount of data but the up front cost is what is getting the cold votes.

I recently gave up on phone contracts and went to sim only and buying the phone outright. I only need 1gb of data so i can get really cheap sim deals. Then it's just sourcing the phone and as the pixel costs £599 and a sim only is £8 x 24 months = £192 total cost = £791

Its a good deal - don't vote cold just because you don't like the phone or the amount of calls/txts/data

not a patch on the Samsung s7 edge which is by far the best phone on the market, iPhone 7 and 7 plus included

Don't do it to yourself. Having stuck with google as a brand through the nexus series hoping for accessories support, I've been left with nothing buit disappointed - Pixel won't be supported NEARLY as long as they say it will.

Go for a different android phone if you're dead set on a non iPhone option.

Sorry what do you base this on? I am with EE and have the Pixel XL with no issues whatsoever. Having used the 7 plus and S7 edge, the pixel more than holds it own against them... My only issues are with EE themselves who seem to be getting worse...
