However, this is the cheapest you can find it if you're after it on Contract, and is handy for anyone that wants one.

Bearing in mind this is a £600 phone outright this is a pretty good deal.

With o2...

3GB data, Unlimited minutes and texts plus all other o2 benefits via carphone warehouse. £199 upfront and £31.50 a month

Works out at £955.99 over 24 months

£63 Cashback via TCB makes it £892.99

£50 play store voucher makes it £842.99, or if you sell it at 80% £852.

£852/24 is £35.50 average over the 24 months.

Indeed, but this is the cheapest you can get it by a mile. Thought that's what a deal consisted of but clearly not :(

Without Samsung bloatware! the possibility to root without breaking the stupid KNOX.
That would worth at least £200, if you ask me.

Than again. You don't have knox on your Google phone. What's your point? If you root you can use Google pay and banking apps. I'm happy with Samsung bloatware. Can't see the different with nexus and galaxy range. The newest model
Bloatware is just an excuse these days. You may find it a bloatware
Some other people mind find it useful. I'm happy owner of current s7 edge and my kids toy iPhone 6s plus 128gb

No way. Insane price. In what is this better than my good old LG G2 that can be bought for pennies nowadays. I don't need any new features that cost zillions. I'm still on Kitkat and never felt the need to upgrade.

To be fair it is actually a very high spec phone compared to the previous Nexus range. Too pricey for me though and my dual SIM Moto G4 does everything I need for a fraction of the price. This is a good deal if you want it but I suspect the phone is aimed at those who have the money to buy it outright and not on contract.

massive misfire by Google, go get an S7 or Edge or Oneplus 3 for around the same if not cheaper..... the "new" tech in this thing ( 821 cpu etc ) isnt enough to justify the absolutely idiotic price this lot are charging, like the majority of people commenting, i wonder how much these will drop to be xmas when they have shelves of them left and cant shift them.....

Has samsung software got any better in recent years? I had the S1, Note 1 and a mate had the S3, all were made terrible by samsung software which was unnecessary at best, buggy in the middle, and broke some apps at the worst.

Not much love the the nexus this time round is there.
I have been an android user for years over expensive iPhones but like others have said, I would buy an iPhone rather than pay the same for a pixl. And that, Mr Google is your problem!

I still consider the Nexus 4 to be the best phone I've ever owned. I don't have it anymore but the OnePlusOne and SGS6 I've had since haven't been as good. The OPO is probably next best, esp in terms of value/features and the S6 battery is absolutely appalling.

I'm literally going through my S6 to make more storage space too and seeing all the 'galaxy apps' and 'smart switch' crap I've never used but can't uninstall.

That all said, I'm extremely disappointed in the new Nexus pricing. Utter madness. Awesome phones. Rubbish pricing.

The phones not worth the price imo. Considering LeEco Le Pro 3 and its 8gb ram, dual cameras, 16mp front camera, 256gb internal plus sd card slot, 2k screen 5000mah battery. Lower price point... Blows this away.

The free unlimited photo & 4k backup is also very attractive.

I never have a problem from my s7 edge. Since day 1 release. With more than 300apps installed. 200gb sd card. Root. It works like day 1. Never lag, never freeze and never crash

This is a massive error of judgement by Google. It's heavily overpriced and the Galaxy S7 is way better than this.

This will be an epic failure like the Amazon Fire phones.

I sure hope so! I love the idea of this phone and the thought of it getting heavily reduced in the coming months like the fire phone did will make it very likely I will end up owning one!

Want to get a sub £200 for the Mrs, thinking Nexus 5x as I love my 6P.

Main thing for her is quality camera that's Erich at taking pictures. Anything better available?
