Sorted! Reserved it again lol.

I've just rang John Lewis there to see if they'll match and throw thr handle in, the lady said she'll have to get the right department to call me back so just waiting!
Rather buy from JL to get the 2 year warranty

I went for this only because i had almost £70 on my nectar ;) good luck with john lewis , btw i think with john lewis you have extra insurance for £15 in case you drive over your camera :)

Considering this but just watching reviews the quality between 4 and 5 is minimal. Obviously the only 5 has better audio, but the stabalization isn't available at 4K, not to mention the 10% crop on resolutions that support the feature.. Image quality is almost exactly the same.

Looking at the Yi 4K, looks very impressive...hmm

UPDATE: OK forget all of that, I heard the 6 should arrive this year, I'll wait...

I just got it!
Gonna use it for my trip to Japan this year along with my Canon 100d which I hope to upgrade to a 80D.
These sell for £330-350 used so could always make money back.

Lol, I don't plan on driving over it. I'm using it for my YouTube videos, been meaning to buy one for ages all my videos have been taken with my phone so lets see how this fairs!

Heat, £100 off! Finally an excuse to upgrade my Hero 3.

Don't forget to add your free 3 way handler to the trolley before checkout

Pretty good price, Hot. But do I need one :{

Just been watching some Hero 5 Black vs iPhone videos on YouTube via an LG OLED and to be honest, other than the wider angle lens the iPhone looks better oO

Maybe £150 would be a good deal based on the portability of the GoPro for sports and such but for hiking and general photography I think the iPhone wins for me. I really wanted to like the GoPro as well, shame :(

Great price for the gopro. Especially with the 3way mount. OP add 3 way mount to the title.
These 2 items at Amazon costing close to £450..

There are plenty of great action cameras for around £100 (and lots of not-so-great ones for £50 or less). A GoPro 5 *might* be better, but not £200 better. If you need the best, go for it. Otherwise, shop around.

I bought this a couple of days ago for £400 online :(:(

They change all the time, but when I was looking a few months ago I looked at the Eken H9R but eventually settled on an SJCam SJ5000x Elite. It was £94 when I bought it, a little more expensive now the pound has dropped.

The waterproof is great. The audio comes through clean. Overall very impressed with the quality of the GoPro 5. I really like the LCD.
#24
the Hero5 sound isnt very good because the whole unit is waterproof but if its mainly the video you want then it doesnt matter.

Man, Yi 4k+ is out. Get that instead. I'm waiting for it to be available in the UK Amazon or w/e as I'm not waiting 1 month for delivery. It records 4k @ 60fps and Yi is also coming out with a drone where you can attach the camera. Check out their CES booth on YouTube.

Good deal but personally I think the hero 4 is better due to the fact that if you damage the outside of the waterproof housing, you can just replace it,yet the hero 5 is ruined if you damage the outside as it has no separate housing.

I spent months searching for what I wanted. I purchased the SJ5000X, had it 6 months, bought it early ready to use for my holiday and get familiar with it, only used it several times for light use, then the side button pushed through the housing the day before my holiday. Emailed Gearbest but they only do a 45 day warranty and were of no use what so ever. £100 down the drain. Had to go out and buy a GoPro the day of my holiday before leaving. Bought the GoPro4 Silver and the quality in build and use is far superior to the SJ5000x. As the saying goes, buy cheap buy twice. I would not recommend the cheaper Chinese versions to anyone personally.

Are they giving you the 3-way handler too? I'd phone again and ask, if not return it to a store then buy again. Very handy piece of kit for free.

Don't be so sure, the Yi 4K, is just as good, the only deal breaker for some, is the Yi needs a waterproof case, but Ali Express have been selling the Yi 4K for as little as £152 in their recent sale, + £15 for the case thats still a substantial saving on the go pro even at £299.

I hear what you are saying , but it's like anything else , one thing what's on paper another thing real life, time will only show which one will last longer. But I know who would i bet on that is gonna survive more abuse and extreme usage
