About 10 years ago it was.

Most Supermarkets have 24hours licensing nowadays.

You can still buy alchohol at 3/4am from 24hour supermarkets.

Someone best tell Tescos and Asda as I have bought Alcohol off them at 3am many times over the years.

Just noticed the deal is Scotland only? (Bit bizarre a Supermarket having a deal like this for only one area).

Are the licensing laws different in Scotland nowadays, as I was referring to Wales/England in my comments before as had not noticed the fact it was Scotland only as not included in the title. Apologies for confusion if so.

is that online only though.........

LOL

You might be able to steal alcohol, from the supermarket at that time. but not be able to buy

To clarify: Scotland has its own alcohol licensing laws from 10am-10pm while in England/Wales it is possible to have a 24 hour license to sell alcohol at anytime.

And to Eatmorefish, its depressing but true that in certain areas of Scotland people queue outside the local off-license from 6am waiting until they are allowed to buy alochol at 10am. Its a serious issue that is not just the minority, but rather the majority of certain area's. The 10-10pm licensing laws in Scotland are genuinely needed.

Hope that helps clarify confusion :)

You can buy in England and Wales. Bounch has backed up me on that.

Plus the fact that I have been in the supermarket and purchased alcohol in the night. It would be the worst lie ever if I claimed I had but hadn't really.

I've seen the deal in Asda on my lunch so can see it is Nationwide.

My local 24 hour tescos doesn't sell alcohol between midnight and 6am but I think they could if they wanted to. These spirits are 2 for £18 @ Netto on 70cl bottles. Can anyone work out which works out cheaper?
