thats unsual that you get points on milk, i thought they couldnt have any deals on baby milk. only on the milk progress kind of milk for older babies... must have changed it.
banned#2
boots do that to.. they dont allow points and to the idiots that voted cold.. why?

you are basically paying £20 for 8 tubs of milk! and you get a family dinner at pizza hut or free dvds at blockbuster etc etc etc and btw if you got a baby you need to buy the milk if you bottle feeding!

Sounds good:thumbsup:
Bitty!!!

You can always use it yourself. It tastes a bit kack but its full of goodness.
#5
I didn't think that promotions were allowed on baby milk?
#6
whats the service charge? and whats the code?
#7
I voted cold coz we don't all have to buy formula milk, breast is still best!!!!!
#8
I think they allow points for 'follow on' milk, milk for babies over 6 months. They are not allowed to apply incentives to formula milk for younger babies to discourage bottle feeding and in order to keep in line with goverment message of 'breast is best'
I have had points on SMA progress from Boots.

If you're at home all day maybe....or like milking yourself like a cow :whistling:
Some of us cant (and dont want) have a boob out constantly!!! Come on support your fellow mums who make a different choice to you!

Anyway is still a good deal.

Oh my god ....theres enough pressure when you have a baby, best is whatever makes you happy - baby doesnt care as long as theyre fed!!!! And I bet dad is happier without seeing leaking boobs and cracked nipples- hardly a turn on!

I'm glad you people voting this cold as you don't agree with bottle feeding have the choice, however can you have a little sensitivity to those who don't. I wouldn't vote a breast feeding item cold just cos it's not for me. Voted hot.

5p fuel voucher as well, bonus

This is a really good deal if you can afford it, I could never afford to spend this much outright on baby milk in one go! Heat and rep added though

Here we go again! Comments like that really **** me off, why do some people think because you bottle feed a baby that it's wrong. Yes breast feeding is the best option and it's free but some people don't get the choice. My girlfriend wanted to breast feed so we attended NCT classes for that reason, she tried very hard to get it established but the baby just couldn't do it, which was causing too much stress for both of them (and me!). We asked for and got a lot of help but in the end were advised to bottle feed, this made my girlfriend feel like a failure and she ended up with bad postnatal depression. It is this type of ignorant comment which puts immense pressure on mothers who are trying to breast feed and if they can't, for whatever reason, makes them feel like failures. Yes urge people to at least try it but if it doesn't work then it's perfectly OK to bottle feed (essential in fact) or perhaps you think the baby should be left to starve to death?

If you have no interest in bottle feeding why look at the thread and vote on something you wouldn't buy anyway? Before making pointless ill-informed comments like this use your brain, in fact I thought this was a hot deals site not a site promoting breast feeding?

This is a good deal, especially considering for the first 6 months people don't get the chance of any deals on this type of product, thanks to what I consider discrimination by the Government on women who are unable to breast feed. So VOTED HOT! (yes I am shouting)

i dont think we need to talk about breast but what about women that cant do it? they have to feed the baby using other ways. some of yuo are being very unfair. my wife tried it and it didnt work! breast maybe best but not if its not working right! and if you have to bottle feed then this is 1 great deal!

I think the pro-breast feeding comments have been triggered by the title:
"Got a baby? This deal is for you Baby Milk"

and the initial comments:
"Ok.. We all have to buy baby milk (if you have a baby lol)"
as the implied assumption is that everyone bottle-feeds their babies (although the OP does qualify this later on).

Everyone makes their own choice based on their own circumstances, the important thing is that people are aware that there is more than one option available.
As for the offer, I have not voted as I don't know if it represents a good deal or not.

For bottle feeding mothers, don't even explain yourself, people that make comments such as "breast is best" look at the bigger picture before commenting.

saying that bottlefeeding is best for some people because they prefer it and it makes them happier is like saying a mars bar is better for you than sprouts just because it tastes nicer. breast feeding is FAR superior to bottlefeeding and I think what upsets most pro breast feeding people is that bottle feeding is advertised and accepted as a suitable alternative. I'm sorry but women that don't even try to breastfeed deserve to be made to feel guilty for not breastfeeding, as they are intentionally not giving their child the most healthy start in life. to me they should feel as guilty as women that smoke during pregnancy, they are intentionally putting their child at a disadvantage. only 1-3% of women TRULY cannot breastfeed, the others either don't seek help or try and, sadly, don't receive it. If women had a real problem breastfeeding they should seek help and for the 1-3% that cannot breastfeed they should get in on prescription. This way it will stop being as acceptable to bottlefeed and if it's a bit harder to get hold of instead of just picking it up with your shopping maybe more people would breastfeed. and as for the lack of incentives to buy it before 6 months, this really needs to be extended to twelve months as babies should continue on breastmilk throughout weaning to a minumum of 12 months at which point they can have cows milk, although obviously human milk is preferable. can i also add that only a few women experience pain and cracked nipples. that's like saying everybody who gives birth tears open and has to have loads of stitches, yes some women do, but it never put you off having a baby did it?

Well said, yorkshire pudding, I have never bought formula milk in my life, despite having four children......the title is what really started the debate, perhaps because it made an untrue statement.

O M G .... here we have the worlds expert on breastfeeding. Women lets worship at this idol of womanlyness and realise - we are all lying. This lady speaks the truth....LOL. Please get off your soapbox - I say that as I bet youre not as bad as these comments sound - have another look at what your wrote - a bit much for a deals website? (espacially the bit about breast milk on perscription - yuk...I'll have some saliva and mucus while your at it LOL.

Your worlds are actually offensive to me and I'm sure many other formula feeding, loving mothers with healthy, happy children. I find this all quite shocking - this forum is a bit of fun not somewhere to spout vicious thoughts such as "women deserve to be made to feel guilty for not breastfeeding, as they are intentionally not giving their child the most healthy start in life. to me they should feel as guilty as women that smoke during pregnancy, they are intentionally putting their child at a disadvantage"'. I would suggest you read what you wrote and THINK how that could make a woman feel. Imagine if you couldnt feed the thing you love the most, was scared, felt **** and then read that....But hey I bet it was sooooo easy for you right?!?

Honestly - this is why I work (remember that...I'm guessing in between all this 'breast is best' theres not alot of time for a 9-5) - who would want to go to a mother and baby group and meet people that think like this....

Next I'll be hearing you shouldnt use disposable nappies! Come on people lets stick up for free choice!!!!! Oh and by the way I breast fed my gorgeous boy for 3 months until I made the choice to get my life (and boobs back).

I think these comments from yorkshirepudding are a bit much much - I'm all for free speech but not hate mongering - this is only a tesco deal...

i suggest you dont buy this amount of milk before the baby is born, it may be a waste if it does not agree with your baby, i had to change milk twice before my youngest was settled
