Voted cold, a Sat nav system would be better and you can get them for only slightly more money

I have sat nav, but this gives notice of fixed and mobile cameras. my sat nav only does fixed cameras.

TomTom databases are around which show popular mobile spots for speed camera talivans.

This is a good buy. I have one and, strangely, I find
I speed less now lol .

Cheers.
Paul.

Also, pocketgpsworld offer an up-to-date database of fixed and mobile speed cameras for the entire country....it used to be free, but you may have to pay for it now.

I've got a Road Angel and personally I see it as a challenge:whistling: :giggle:

Im not saying this is a bad price, but there are better deals to be had with sat nav's

what are the best speed detectors available? do a lot of motorway travelling and always wary of the threat of a radar gun catching me. this is when i accidentally go over the speed limit of course

Any speed camera detectors that warn in "real time" of laser or radar guns are now illegal in this country I believe the only ones that are legal are ones that work via GPS.

even better DONT speed. its free lol.

Voted Hot. Its a great buy and for people like myself that do 40k miles a year and have a built in sat nav in the car with no speed camera detection and 6 points on their licence its a bargain as Road Angel etc are a lot more to buy. I will be there to purchase thanks

Voted cold as it's Aldi.

:?

Ok, I hate Aldi, but not really good reason for a cold vote. By the way, Aldi's chopped tomatoes are the dogs:p

It is when my computer broke 7 months ago and its still not fixed. And Aldi say 7 months is reasonable time for it to be fixed.

Ah, a boycott vote:thumbsup:

Wouldn't buy a PC from them I must admit, only chopped tomatoes as they're well thick and juicy:-D

...and I wouldn't buy chopped toms from Dell:giggle:

Funnily enough I wouldn't buy a PC from Dell either, 2 PCI slots, no thanks:p

This is it . Tested by AutoExpress and Sunday Times and
voted best at doing the job and , by chance, the cheapest.

Cheers.
Paul.

I have had a talex for over a year, reminds you of any speed cameras and informs you of the correct speed limit, noticed my speedo was 4mph out!

great deal!

How do you know your Talex wasn't 4mph out?

me too a couple of time I thought I was just over the spped limit when trapped by a mobile gun but nothing. when I got the satnav it showed my speedo was about4-5 mph too high

make me even more annoyed about being behind the old biddy doing 20mph
#24
These GPS devices are suppose to reflect your speed more accurately then the speedo in your car ..... apparently ! But don't count on it in a court of law !

Checked it against my average speed on my cars trip computer, sat at 70mph on the m8 for 2 miles, reset the computer, talex red 66 computer read 66.

I always go with the speedo when passing a camera though:thumbsup:

Go via small claims court then, you can even file online these days iirc

That is NOT true at this time, but maybe in the future!
