Yeah Asda do this all the time for £25, we have one, they're safe nothing wrong with them can't see them having been £79.99 anywhere else recently as Asda have done them at least 4 times in the last year at £25

heat added though the end price is still good

If it wasn't safe, then it wouldn't be on the market! These things have to be properly tested to save lives!

Also, as Mothercare offer a 2yr guarantee on ALL car seats...why would they sell these in their store?? Wouldn't make any sense if it was crap, would it?
#18
rang all the Mothercare stores in Northern Ireland and none have them at £12.99 - they are all £29.99

Checked a couple of my locals - they will price match Asda, but are not cheaper. Maybe a managers special?

Reserved one, but there is no where to enter the code. I suspect that it's for online deliveries only. I will try asking in store.

Great find.
#22
tempted
#23
might be worth waiting a while - Asda usually sell these off cheaply (if they have a huge stock left) towards the end of their baby-event (which I think ends on the 17 Oct) - I picked one up for only £15 the last time.
#24
Picked mine up. Couldn't us the 10% off code in store sadly. I tried though. No sign of the mothercare offer either sadly.

In case you didn't know which magazine did test it and the conclusion was that it shouldn't be on the market. However its up to you whether you buy this because its cheap.
#26
Code must be entered all in uppercase for it to work, just fyi for those who say it doesnt work.

i cant understand it-for a few quid more get this????????

isnt it worth it for you kids safety?

Britax is miles better seat well worth the extra and comes top in the Which crash tests

Unfortunately some car seats are not very safe, they pass a minimum test , its not peoples fault as many dont understand, the Which test includes side impact which the law does not require

This link explains it better

but they save money so they will always sell them? look at the heat for the britax i listed and the heat for this carp!
and they put their kids first?
#32
I know what you mean m8, but to be honest majority of people think they pass the bare minimum test they are ok,

Another way to better explain it is the car star rating, all cars pass the minimum safety test but they then get star rating, what would you rather be in a 1 star car or 5 star car in a crash ?

I'd just like to clarify, that I actually buy britax car seats. But I was just saying that if these seats are on the market, then they must be safe. Because I doubt that a company as big as Graco, would risk getting bad press, by allowing children to die because their car seat is not doing it's job.

anyone got a which subs and can check this here and just tell us the score?
http://www.which.co.uk/baby-and-child/baby-transport/reviews/child-car-seats

I have one of these on order and am wondering about cancelling it

We already have one of these, and am concerned if it's not very good in some way. We also have a basic britax, and to be honest, apart from padding, there's not a huge difference in construction quality.
#36
Its not about the construction, if you compare the Graco and Britax, look at the head rest the Britax is narrow to stop the head moving in an impact, also look at the sides the Britax hugs the body where the Graco is wider so allows movement :)

The Britax always comes high in the Which tests , we are only talking about a £8 difference not hundreds of pounds :)

basically which says the britax is comparable to the maxi cosi etc which are best..but the graco in their opinion should have been removed from the market 2 years ago
If i recall correctly
#38
thanks for that; I will get my son to sit in the seats and ensure they're a proper fit.

at least I've not made the mistake of using simple booster seats!!
#39
Thanks for this great deal! It was featured over on the HUKD blog Playpennies!

Just bought two of these for my son who is just progressing into booster high back seats.

For anyone that slates the Graco chairs, i had two of these (Similar ones) when my daughter progressed 4 years ago and they were superb.

I for one would recommend on personal experience
