Is this any good ?

no, stay away from this, that cpu is terrible! you may think becuase its a celeron its energy efficient, but you would be wrong, its alot slower than atom cpus and uses way more power.

and.... i am almost 100% certain that is not the picture of it, because the screen is 8.9" but it has the shell of the 10" model so the 8.9" screen looks stupidly small, i shud know i had one!

its just a really weird netbook!

edit: just went on notebookcheck.net and this is one of the worst cpu's money can buy! so this may be a collectors piece in the future!

Screen is much too small. Get at least a 10" screen and Atom N270 for not much more (from Argos outlet).

love that! this couldn't be anymore non purpose built! they took the body of the 10" model and stuck a 9" screen in it!

That celeron chip is just a bit faster than the Atom 1.6 in most tasks and lags only a little in the rest. That is what the benchmarks say. Overall, you are not going to notice a difference in real life usage. While the Atom is more frugal on the battery, the onboard chipset it was sold with guzzled power like there was no tomorrow. Overall, it proved to be much of a muchness in terms of battery life. I got 3-3.5 hours out of the first eeePC on the celeron; my first Atom netbook gave me 2.5hrs, which, allowing for the bigger screen, was about the same.

i have slightly older eee901 8.9" and reckon they look fine resolution was

ie 1024x600 on 10" look slightly blurry compared to same rez on 8.9" screen
