Looking at dumping Sky HD, does anybody know how the SD picture quality compares between a Sky HD box and this Topfield. Also i presume its just a Sata drive in the Topfield so i could just use my Sky box HDD.
Cheers

Not sata, IDE..

Probably best to ask the question on the Toppy forums.

Largely, I imagine, because Freeview HD has just launched so anything SD is going to be old hat

Looks good to me
I have teh old version without HDMI and it is a great piece of kit. Has provided many years of excellent service.
I have had several other PVRs before and teh topfield has, by far, been the best.
will upgrade now...thanks for the deal

You can fit a large SATA drive but you need to buy an IDE/SATA converter - lots of info on the Toppy website. Voted hot as this is a good price for a barebones unit but bear in mind that lots of TF5810 owners have found this model to be unreliable compared with the older TF5800.
