Why is this getting voted down? Just because people don't know these compared to Sennheisers?

I was thinking of the SR60i for home use, I don't think I can quite go to 320 quid for a set of headphones at the moment as much as I'd love to. :)

"These have been 24.99 at Play.com about 6 months ago but their prices keep yo-yo-ing"

Why did'nt you post them when they were £24.99 then! lol

I''ve got the SR60i and have just made a new real leather headband - the original is RUBBISH!

The fit is quite big too so if you've got a small heed then in you're in trouble. Definitely try them on first or they may end up really annoying you...

Also, because they are open backed, don't expect anyone to stay in the same room as you when you're using them

That was 6 months ago and someone else posted them then, I'd imagine they went straight up to 40 quid as soon as anyone bought them

I have some Equation RP21s and I can't stand them because they clamp onto your head and make you really ware you're wearing them. I ended up using these really bad Sony cheapos just because they were so much more comfortable.
Unfortunately got nowhere to try on any headphones.

The Grados do give decent sound but they've definitely scrimped on the build quality. Don't get me wrong - they're pretty bomb proof but just cheap plastic rather than something a bit more aesthetically pleasing.

Very easy to modify yourself - you really shouldn't have to though...

Which are better the sr60i's or the sr80i's? Regardless of the £20 differnce?
#12
That's a massive point of contention I haven't been able to work out yet. It seems to be based on personal preference. I heard that the 60is are a lot more comfortable as they have the better 'bowls' on the headphone. The 60is are also sometimes £35 cheaper as I've seen them for £65 and the 80is are mostly £100. Guess what, in America , they're both about 15 to 20 quid cheaper :(

I think I read the bass was better in the sr80i's ?

Can anyone confirm?
