Thanks will go down to my local hmv next week

No worries...I saw the advert on page 11 of the Metro newspaper today, and then remembered the F1 2010 deal at Zavvi.

HMV will only accept the PS3 version of F1 though....not the 360 version, incase anyone was thinking of trading that in.

Good deal. Have some heat. :D

This sounds nearly too good to be true, im glad someone seen it in the paper, but if everyone does this do HMV have a right to refuse the trade deal or lessen the price on F1 due to demand?

That is a good question. Also, I'm not sure how long it takes to get an order from Zavvi? Last I ordered it took like 10-14 days, which for this deal, would be too long.

the text underneath the ad says they reserve the right to refuse any trade in but considering they've done national press & it's a 3 day only deal I reckon they'd be mad to pull the deal.

If you already have F1 and want to trade it in then this seems like it could be a good deal.

But if you plan to order F1 from Zavvi then don't count on it arriving in time to be able to trade it in. Zavvi have screwed up several orders for me this year, so now I will only order from there if I really don't care when it arrives - a sentiment they seem to share.

Good deal, I might trade in my copy of F1 2010 and pick it up in the bargain bin next year if I get bored of GT5!
#9
I have F1 already, so could just order a Zavvi one ,see when it turns up, and if it doesnt turn up in time, take my copy up anyway
#10
good to see this is getting heat at one stage it was -18 lol!
#11
is this game actually coming out?
#12
Walkers code now seems to have stopped working, now getting "The promotion code you entered is not active."

I think the title may have caused some to vote cold as it could appear when scanning through that this is £27.36 after you have traded in your copy of 2010 at HMV, only when you read the first post does it make sense.
#14
yep been confirmed for 24/11.
#15
Surely if any release is going to spark a supermarket price war, its going to be this one.

I find myself hesitent to vote on a deal which isn't even active for another week, by which time it could well have been trounced by a complete range of other deals.
#16
Only problem is I just placed my order and it has an estimated despatch date of 26/11/2010. Isn't this deal only valid for three days?

I got a couple of Walkers codes through the website a couple of weeks back and my code worked. I'll keep an eye on it and cancel my Zavvi order if I can get it £25 again.

No chance of f1 2010 arriving in time from zavvi they are useless

Hot deal for those who already have F1 2010 and don't mind waiting a few days to get a replacement copy.

You could trade it in at Cex for £33 and just get GT5 from the cheapest option?

Black Ops currently trades in at £35 at hmv, so the deal would be the same.
(£35 trade was advertised last week, but can't remember the expiry date though...)

Pre-ordered today at HMV. Paid £3 so it's £1.99 and my copy of F1 2010 on release day.

Did you go in store to do this?

Do all HMV's do trade-ins (re/play) ?

I want rid of f1 2010

I would have thought that as long as they have a games section, they do trade-ins! The only exception to this would probably be HMVs in train stations (and possibly airports?)
#34
Never thought of trading in at HMV before, thanks.
