Depends how you are playing it fella's. I use a gamepod and a G27, excellent game, as pointed out, nothing comes close.

I thought exactly that for about a month of playing, then the game runs out of decent cars to buy/drive (80% are pointless graphically poor inclusions) and you come to the stark realisation that - stunning and unequalled gfx aside - the gameplay taken on it's own becomes quite stagnant. I've gone back to playing my old fave NFS:Shift.

Ive heard this game was a great let down

Haha, that is in the oul boys showroom, I just keep my seat there cause the wife wont entertain it at home X)

We leave GT5 running during the day for customers, sat is a busy day for the seat, I like GT5 because there is something for everyone, the rally stages with the traction off on the wheel with the force feedback is amazing. I played it quite a lot with the control pad first and I still enjoyed it but with the seat it is amazing. I totally understand that it is not for everyone, but I think it should been reviewed again after months of play, for me it keeps getting better.

I could happily sit for hours doing laps of the Nurburgring :p

Sustained my interest far longer than Dirt, Grid, Forza 3 or Shift ever did. GT5 feels less arcade like in style. Plenty of interesting cars, regular updates which often include extra races or events. Would recommend for £20. My 9 year old much prefers other racing games - Grid at the moment

Agreed, for £20 it is well worth buying. But Shift, arcade in style!? Shift allows you to play with arcade OR sim like handling. The choice is yours. You can customise the controls to your hearts content. GT5 is still far from realistic in terms of handling, and button assignment aside, the control customisation is non existent.

Nurburgring is amazing in Shift. GT5 doesn't come close to the sense of driving by the seat of your pants and sheer speed. Lower spec car, 80 - 100mph races are deadly boring in GT5, yet are still exciting in Shift.

I think I better stop kiss arsing Shift now! lol

DON'T BUY FROM GRAINGER GAMES - WARNING!

Just received my order from Grainger Games. Ordered four NEW titles from them:
Cass (blu), My Blueberry Nights (blu), All the Boys Love Mandy Lane (blu) and Ocean's Thirteen (blu).

They emailed me to state that they had no stock of Ocean's Thirteen.
I have just received the rest of them and there condition is as follows:
Cass (blu) - opened and showing signs of use.
My Blueberry Nights (blu) - new and sealed.
All the Boys Love Mandy Lane (blu) - opened, used and disc physically 'cracked' so unusable.
I have never seen a blu-ray disc in such poor condition!

Called Grainger Games by phone and they claim 'all their lines are busy' and that they are 'not accepting calls until after the bank holidays.'
This is my first order with Grainger Games and I will not be ordering from them again, they have sold me USED blu-rays as NEW, they have yet to refund me for the Ocean's Thirteen they were unable to supply or give me a return and refund for the damaged/used blu-rays I have received.

This deal beats paying £22 and the hassle of eBay!
Thanks :)

Agreed. I sold my copy online for £22. It is such a dull drab game the graphics are not that great. There is no detail in the environments and the tracks just look dull grey all the time. In NFS Shift 2 everything looks beautiful and even GRID looks better to me. The interiors are also better in those games than GT5. You can't look around the interiors in GT5 either. Its collapsed under its own hype and I would only pay £15 max for it now.
