Does this game ever change from the previous iteration?
I find once you've played the 3rd version it's pretty much the same after that. Graphics are better but gameplay doesn't change much

As I've gotten older I've really grown to appreciate Gran Turismo games. Racing without the drama. With my dodgy ticker, I find I can't handle too much excitement so the lack of any real sensation of speed suits me fine. The placid AI cars also help prevent any nasty surprises, which could otherwise lead to involuntary excretion. My hearing is so bad now that the in-game sounds are quite bearable. As an added bonus my dementia means that the menus have actually become more easily navigated (or possibly not...)

Truly the OAP of driving games...
Sorry, can I retract that statement? Pensioners are comparatively cool :)

Got this a week or 2 ago. Loving the Ayrton Senna DLC, already unlocked the cars and the Lotus 97T is a beast to handle with a wheel.

I read that there's some more DLC coming soon linked with FiA, sounds good. :)

Possibly one of the best games on PS3 alongside the last of us and beyond: two souls. Heat!

Dodgy heart and a System Shock 2 avatar?

Playing that game in the dark is a recipe for disaster for you sir.

Great price and heat added. I'll admit I didn't enjoy this game as much as GT5. It seemed much easier. Mediocre AI made the races pretty straightforward, whereas in 5 you really had to tune your car, and purchasing new ones involved some thought. In this I feel you can just grab any old car and compete against much better ones as the AI is weak. I remember resorting to bashing superior cars on some corners in the previous game, just to chance my arm at a victory.....no need for such shenanigans in this version.

It's a driving game, how is it going to change? I just hope there isn't a PES/FIFA deal...

PD should be commended for the amount of updates they have done to this game. So many new cars, tracks, game modes. All free! In this day and age thats impressive.

can't agree more, in GT6 the skid recovery mode is toggled on by default but GT5 is not. That explained why the cars are so easy to handle. On endurance event it's not difficult to finish 1st in Nurburgring 24 minute race 100% humidity in racing hard tyres..which doesn't make any sense. Finished GT6 in 99% including the updated events. In GT5 i just finished merely 30% ish....
