It's a GAME exclusive so good luck finding it cheaper elsewhere.

The US prices are before tax. With VAT, that would make the US price $96, or £63.54

Annoyed Rockstar have went down this path of Including in-game items as part of the special edition. I don't like the idea that parts of a game I am paying full price for have been taken out just to justify the Special Edition. Poor show Rockstar.

Its a special edition with extra crap, its not like this is a new idea. Just buy the normal version for £40 on release like every other game has been for the past 5 years.

I wonder if they will just do a steelbook version elsewhere. I don't really care about a map

The point is because its a Game exclusive you wont find it anywhere else, never mind cheaper. Going by your logic they could charge £100 and this should be hot because its based on the deal. Come on!!

This is still a lot for what is included but it is a lot less than the higher priced edition!

Really not enough extras for the money.

This will probably drop a little in price nearer the time of realese, but thanks for the heads up anyway OP

Hot from me. It's exclusive to GAME so unless we get better codes later on this year, the price is unlikely to go down. This is GTA5 we're talking about, there's going to be crazy demand for this. Game is going to milk the opportunity for a long time.

I'm wondering the same. But no other online retailers have put it up for pre-order yet.

Terrible price unfortunately, but that's what happens when a single retailer, especially Game, is given exclusive rights to something. The cheapest price I've seen for the regular version is £35 from Tesco (with a discount code); there's no way a simple map and some rather negligible in-game extras are worth £25!

They did the same thing with the Ellie Edition of The Last Of Us; £57 I think it was, while the near-identical Joel Edition is going for £40 from Tesco. If people pay these inflated prices, it sends a message to retailers and publishers that this sort of thing is acceptable, when it shouldn't be.

I'm sure it's nothing personal. Businesses do benefit immensely from the traffic on this website though (hell, some of them have HUKD buttons on their sites), so it's fair that a blatantly clear case of price-gouging gets them some negative attention.

Or wait until GAME themselves reduce it to an acceptable amount. They always over-order SE's and wind up reducing them, e.g. Forza Horizon, Halo 4, etc.

Its a rockstar game, it should be worth it, im yet to play a poor game made by rockstar games

The GAME "Special Edition" is better value than the "Collectors Edition", which is the same content plus a key & security deposit bag, a Los Santos cap and some additional DLC for £120.

Personally though, I'll pick up a standard copy, hopefully for £30-£40.
