Episodes from Liberty City is the brand new Grand Theft Auto
Containing TWO complete games The Ballad of Gay Tony & The Lost and Damned together in one box.

The Ballad of Gay Tony
The Ballad of Gay Tony injects Liberty City with an overdose of guns, glitz, and grime. As Luis Lopez, part-time hoodlum and full-time assistant to legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince (aka Gay Tony), players will struggle with the competing loyalties of family and friends, and with the uncertainty about who is real and who is fake in a world in which everyone has a price.

The Lost & Damned
In The Lost and Damned, experience Liberty City as Johnny, a veteran member of The Lost, a notorious biker gang. Johnny has been creating business opportunities for The Lost in Liberty City but his first loyalty must be to the patch he wears on his back and to Billy Grey, the clubs President. However, when Billy returns from rehab hell-bent on bloodshed and debauchery, Johnny finds himself in the middle of a vicious turf war with rival gangs for control of a city torn apart by violence and corruption. Can the brotherhood survive?

This game has had excellent reviews

Both games run independently and do "NOT" need the original GTA4 disc

It's amazing that someone who posts negative comments on a lot of 360 deals didn't actually search for this deal or post it until I posted it first and at the time it was the cheapest I could find it.

Take a look at your own posts and I see you chose to mention me for no reason on some PS3 deal earlier..
As for shopto No problem added to title.

I have asked a mod to look into that as i am unsure if hijacking a deal like that is allowed.

GAMESCOM Rumour:

Well, thanks to SCEE forum moderator Yaster, the whole World now knows that Lost And Damned will be heading the way of the PS3 (we don’t call it PlayStation 3 anymore, as no-one else is). In a thread on the PlayStation.com forums (which has now been removed, presumably by another moderator) a rather excitable Yaster said, in reference to Gamescom opening up to the public today:
"And they were certainly showing some PS3 love – Grand Theft Auto: The Lost and the Damned was available to play in a special 18+ area, we didn’t manage to get our hands on it due to the MASSIVE queue – but those inside looked pretty ***** excited."
Fanboys. Why not go to a PS3/360 forum where you can writhe around in your own kind?

Thanks op - the other thread didn't say what platform, but I assume it's also the same as this. Were these not 800 points each though?

No "The lost and the damned" price I think has lowered a bit but the 800 was deal of the week, the other 360 exclusive "The Ballad of Gay Tony" is not out yet and being released with this disc.
This is good news for Arcade owners without a hard drive to, and now it's going retail £25 for the pair should see some big sales.

The title of this deal thread is: -
"Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City (Xbox 360 pre order) @ Amazon (And £24.85 from shopto)"
And it is not a Misc thread entitled "Lets have another argument about whether PS3 or XBox360 are the best rather than each to their own"
Please keep this thread on topic

Voted hot, looks like with the release date at the end of October and being Xbox 360 exclusive should see some good sales both on this title and Xbox units this coming Xmas.

Its taking me long enough to finish the original game never mind even more episodes to play.

Approximately how long do these episodes last in terms of gameplay hours?

always a classic, hot

TL&TD is supposed to be 10-15 hours of play, a third of the amount of the original game in number of missions. I'd assume the same for Gay Tony, so 20-30

But as a previous poster pointed out, the shopto price was mentioned in a previous deal (after this one was posted) the OP of this thread merely added the price after the OP of the other thread submitted his deal?

Serious question: why is this a hot deal when you can buy these EPISODES (they are NOT full games, like you stated in your OP) DLC for £12 each now that the price has been dropped, which comes out at £24 - i.e. less than this deal.

Cold I'm afraid.

They are advertised as full games, & the disc versions are playable without the original GTA4 discs, i think microsoft are desperate to try and recoup as much as they can of the the $50m they paid out

Cannot see why this is getting heat when there are hotter deals about.....

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/463270/pre-order-grand-theft-auto-episodes

I would rather pay the extra 14p than give my credit card details to Shopto and I think anyone else is a fool if they don't do the same for the sake of a few pennies.

Heat added.

Well for one thing DLC isn't worth anything, you can hardly sell it on ebay once you've done playing it or give it to one of your mates and some people don't even have hard drives and some people only have small hard drives. Me, I want a hard copy and all the nice packaging which for less than a quid more is streets ahead of the DLC route.

HOT!!!

didn't feel that first dlc was worth my money so i certainly wont be trying this.

saints row 2 was much better

If these are 1200 ms points each and 2100 ms points is 17.50 how is this worth it?

I mean its good for those that cant download, but not many people cant nowadays.

Three posts in 3 minutes, N20Y1D? Two of which attacking his deal, and the other promoting a rumour for PS3 DLC?

Your trolling on this website is actually quite embarassing for us PS3 owners. I'm sure you'd find a lot of new friends by registering at www.ps3trolls.com.

And as for your claims that the Shopto deal is better, I agree with a previous poster here that Amazon are a much safer retailer, and for the sake of 14p, it's not worth the risk.

EDIT: Thanks for posting OP, voted hot.

because they arent. the first one is 1600 MS points, im guessing the second is too.

so it would cost 3200 MS points. its probably just about the same, but its far better to get a disc for a few reasons.

1. saved many Gigs on your hard drive
2. you dont need to have GTA IV this way
3. once you have finished them, you can sell them - DLC is throwing money away really.

i have GTA IV but now the 2 episodes are on disc i might get them. but ill wait for a price drop.

+1 seriously nice to meet a PS3 owner who can live with the fact that someone chose a different platform (resisting the need to get on the mines better than yours bandwagon!!)

Rep to you just cos Im sick of PS3 fanboys..... cheers!!

It is more like 5 hours - and that includes collecting all the unlockables and the races.

http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2009/08/...ts-not-coming/

Lost And Damned? No, It’s Not Coming

Yesterday we excitedly ran with a rumour that Lost and Damned was heading to the PS3 based off the simple fact that screens showing The Lost and Damned were running in a fenced off section of Gamescom with lots of PS3 nearby. Of course, when you’ve got PS3 Community Moderator Yaster saying things like “they were certainly showing some PS3 love – Grand Theft Auto: The Lost and the Damned was available to play in a special 18+ area” on the EU forums (which was swiftly removed) things click into place faster than we can hit that “publish” button.

You can see where we’d get the idea from, right? The cold, hard reality is that Lost and Damned isn’t coming to the PS3. The images on the screens were simply advertising the disk-based expansions for the Xbox 360 version and just happened to be on a reel next to the PS3 demo units. Rest assured that if Rockstar were to ever announce downloadable chapters for the PS3 version of Grand Theft Auto IV they’d make a much bigger deal of it than just shoving it into a cage at Gamescom were people can blab about it on forums. At least, that’s what we’d do.

I didn't say they were £12 each "Now" how can they be "Gay Tonys" not out yet ? and like Lost and damned it's 360 only (that is why N20Y1D negative troll posts are here)
These are every bit full games and they have better multi player options and the graphics are far better than GTA4

Intresting note since N20Y1D posted here this deals heat has gone well up, so I would like to thank him for helping everyone see that this excellent Double disc 360 exclusive will be available soon..

While you wait for this game take a look at "Shadow complex" (360 exclusive) in the arcade demos, it's excellent..................

Even better value if you are prepared to have them as DLC then:

£15 = 2100 MS points
£1 = 140 MS points

1200 MS points = £8.57 per pack / £17.14 in total.

Sure, plenty of people will like the disc to sell on, but if you were always going to download, £17.14 is a very good price compared to £24.99/£24.85.

I'm glad the PS3 will get the DLC too, as it means more revenue for Rockstar to continue developing a new GTA title.

Let the fanboys (from both/all three sides of ownership) continue to snipe about their "exclusive" titles - the vast majority of games I personally have are on both PS3/360 formats anyway.

Not happening these are both 360 exclusive titles. still you may see some downloadable content on the PS3 one day such as a change of clothes or a new gun but these Two games won't be there.

P.S
Xbox Elite $100 price cut now confirmed it will cost the same price for the Elite as it did for the premium as from 1st September so there should be some great 360 Elite bundles coming hopefully MS will do this double disc set a part of an Elite bundle.

I'm not saying I would never use them but I would much rather use Amazon if there is no appreciable price difference.

AGREED about that constant troll who appears on most 360 deals especially when they are exclusive games or 360 only hardware..

On the subjct of Amazon i'd much rather pay the extra couple of pence and use Amazon, that is why I posted it as Amazon in the main title but I do belive Shopto also now take Payapal if you are bothered about using credit card.
