:-( I payed £25 on preorder, Feeling totaly ripped off.
After playing it I would say £18 is not a bargain but fair. But got to add heat because it can't be beat.

And Play.com kicked me in the balls with quico again!

dont worry lad i paid 27 and i havent played it yet! Why do you feel ripped off? gta iv was worth £50 imo. amazing single player lasted a lot longer than cod mw2... and great multiplayer too. so this is two extra story modes on the same map/game engine. Many other franchises would have padded these out as gta 5 and gta 6 no doubt.

too short to be even charging that, each story is worth about £7.50 each - i wouldnt pay more than £10-15 for this (which it will be soon enough)

Playing this at the moment and must say I am regretting getting the disc based version now. Even if you have GTA IV, this disc insists on installing its own Game Data file of 3GB. The frame rate is considerably choppier than the original... not sure if that is down to the sluggish HDD on my 60gb PS3 or the way the data is spread over the bluray though. Texture pop-in is another thing that I have observed more of during my short spell of playing too.

Wishing I had gone for the DLC option instead now, as with PSN vouchers bought online its roughly the same price.

Just my two penneth (and some of these issues might be resolved with a patch).

Then maybe you would like to join the sub 20 quid club

Its simple we do not buy until the price of the game falls below £20 and all that is required is some PATIENCE ;-)

When it happens it makes you feel all warm and cosy inside :)

How much gameplay would you expect to get out of both stories? If it is just a few hours i will give it a miss.

I havent played it myself but on the net I have read each episode has around 20ish main missions and side quests, etc.

The DLC versions are about 1.5GB each anyway, so you'd be saving no HDD space. Plus there's the fact that the disc version has three radio stations that the DLC version doesn't get.

Disc version is easily the better choice.

That makes me feel a bit better about the disc version.... I knew about the radio stations only being on the disc for the Xbox360 version but hadn't realised that this was also the case for the PS3. Just bad that the framerate is so dodgy on some DLC for a 2 1/2 year old game that was smoother in the first place.

As a tip to others, if you go into Display settings within the game menu and turn off the Filter option the game runs smoother. The filter is a new option and makes the graphics look more like the Xbox360 version. It adds a grain/stipple overlay which gives the graphics a more "filmic" quality and gives the impression of sharper texturing.
