I just checked literally 5 minutes ago and out of stock :-(

I then saw this post and checked again...SUPERB, in stock and usually delivered within in 24 hours. :-)

Great post, thanks!

Excellent - well spotted - Thanks

Xbox 360 is selling twice as fast as PS3 version...so really...from a proven consumer point of view...it's the better product. :-)

i expect they're not going to bother restocking the PS3 version as they probably won't shift them.

ps3 is the fastest selling with gta ,

get a xbox if you want a nice fire !!!!

get a life xbox fans

Only according to Asda lol

Official news for first day sales went to the 360.

"No surprises here. Grand Theft Auto IV has set a new record for first-day sales in the UK, shifting 609,000 units in a single day. This beats the previous record of 501,000, set by San Andreas in 2004. In terms of which version did the best business, ChartTrack report that the 360 one outsold the PS3 version, 335,000 to 274,000."

A fire? Do you know something we don't? Surely you should elaborate to placate all the worried 360 owners?!

Nope nope nope....Xbox is reporting preliminary sales nearly twice that of PS3...Sony has "no comment" at this time.

Also pls note that downloadable add-on packs for GTA are reportedly planned for GTA *on the 360 only*.

Both of which are less reliable and offer slower delivery than Play (Amazon is ridiculously slow). A bitter PS3 owner, perhaps?

What is it about the constant slagging off 360 owners by PS3 owners "my hardware is better than yours" "Ha ha blu ray wins, HD DVD is soooo dead" "Xbox 360's are unreliable yours is going to break in nth month from now"

I sense an element of insecurity about their ownership whilst us 360 owners just enjoy quality gaming NOW, with lots of bargain titles from the back catalogue and some stellar HD DVD bargains.

I refuse to vote on this, most retailers now should be starting to get stocks trickle through, heck I saw it even at Merry Hill Shopping Centre, Dudley on friday in HMV for the 360 loads of copies.

I think people should be reporting deals rather than stocks of these, the price is nothing more or less than I paid for this on day of release, this post should be in the misc section.

I haven't voted either way as I don't think it's a "cold" deal for being the same price as elsewhere but it's not any cheaper so not a "hot" deal either...

Shopto are fab with deliveries so a bit unfair saying they're less reliable.

I don't own either a 360 or PS3, and even if I did, that wouldn't be my reason for voting cold. :)

I voted cold because I do not consider something that's being sold at it's standard price, and can be bought for that same price from at least two other outlets, to be a 'Hot' Deal. Call me crazy, but that's just my humble opinion.

I think if you read the posts it's actually the other way round. Seems to me X360 owners feel they have a massive point to try and prove. Considering the X360 has been out for a year longer than the PS3 you would really have to be a retard to not expect it to shift more copies.

After checking my shopto.net account, I see i have over 10 previous orders, all of which arrived the next day.

Perfectly reliable and WAY faster than the free delivery with play, i never get anything quicker than 3 days from them.

Sorry, didnt mean for you to take offense, its a great heads up for those that need copies, thanks for posting, just i feel that its not a "HotUKDeal" particularly for voting hot or cold as the price is pretty standard as everywhere else, and its just a head up post really, therefore should be in the Miscellaneous section.

Not voted, but rep added for giving peeps the heads up

reckon they need a heads up section for this sorta stuff!!!
wasn't sure where to stick it, but wanted somewhere where people would get to see it quickly before they ran out.

I agree...admin if you read this, a heads up section would be advantageous.

You don't get much more reliable than ShopTo, tbh. Their delivery is the best out there. Order before 5.30pm and receive it the next day.

There is a dedicated GTA IV Stock Level Thread in the Misc Forum. :-)

Actually... The 5% off voucher is still working which makes this £37.99... Voted hot!
#25
Actually, it was "cruisecars" that started 360 bashing for no reason...

cruisecars posted:
"ps3 is the fastest selling with gta ,

...his post seems to have been deleted, however.

Never heard of shop to before today, so if it's fast then fair enough....personally there's not a shop anywhere near me with it in stock though so I voted hot primarilly because it's a retailer I trust and it's still £10 under RRP (although I know you can get it at this price and cheaper elsewhere),
#26
Quidco tracks at £1.60 (used 5% voucher to get at £37.99)
#27
£37.99 + quidco is hot, thanks.
#28
this is what i used, play.com cant be beaten for service IMO so paying an extra 2 quid if no skin off my nose.
