good price, same price at Game (think its the same company)

damn I paid about £50 for it 3 or 4 months ago from eBay & thought it was a good price because online shops were selling at about £60, but now the price totally crashed & even on eBay it's going for only about £20!? don't know why a S/C Edition (a good one for a great game) has price crashed so quickly, the near £60 for the Street Fighter IV CE is a total rip off compared to this, way overpriced for what you're getting in the package, glad I waited & read some reviews before I rushed head along & get ripped off.

£30 is a great price for any SE/CE especially for a great game, tempted to get the 360 version so I can get the DLC, but annoyed the market value has crashed so much...

Quality deal

great for the few people that don't have it yet

Good price and a great set of extras for a SE/CE but a poor game in my opinion, I think Rockstar disappeared up their own a**es a bit with GTA4 - they seemed to forget the fun elements that made all the others in the series so enjoyable. The soundtrack was very poor too, especially in comparison to San Andreas and Vice City which both had absolutely great soundtracks.

I think Saints Row 2 beat them at their own game - I know GTA4 received a lot of critical acclaim but having played every game in the series it was a big let down for me.

Blimey, Rockstar have got you fellas by the danglers!

Bearing in mind you can buy the game pre-owned for 7.99, with this deal you are paying an extra 22.00 for a metal box, a CD and some pictures! The boys at Rockstar must be laughing themselves to sleep at night!

Agreed, would love to see Vice City remade/expanded, still the best in the series by far.

I personally don't think Grand Theft auto has been any good since it was the top down view versions they were ace, getting the fastest car and seeing how far you could jump over water.

I would have to say personally I enjoyed Vice City myself (partially for 80s humourous nostalgia reasons) than any other game in the series.

I somehow doubt though there will be a remake/expanded version, but who knows, Rockstar cashed in on Bully bringing the last gen PS2 game through. Certainly with Vice City Stories being released for the PS2 and PSP I am not sure about game rights, but I am sure it would be a worthy release for the PS3, if not as well the 360 (depending on owners rights)

I wouldn't personally say GTA 4 was at all a let down, musically it was eclectic, storywise personally I found it more compelling than San Andreas, graphically it was astounding with the largest area mapping seen yet, if anything it pushes the boundaries of what gamers can be expecting from a game with huge content. :)

You're comparing preowned prices against new and even if you do calculate the extras as costing £22 that seems like an okay price for a CD, lockbox, duffel bag, keyring and artbook as individually you would expect those items to cost more.

Can you please tell me where you can get it preowned for £7.99? I want to buy a few copies and get Gamestation to price beat CEX seeing they exchange it for £13 and £14 respectively on the 360 and PS3 thats a nice tidy sum of profit trade in at Gamestation would get £14 or £15 for the 360 and PS3 versions, practically double your money.

I enjoyed 4 more than SA. SA felt too much like a life sim to me - I had to go to the gym, eat, yada yada. GTA4 might have had all those annoying phone calls, but at least you could ignore them. I ended up getting 4 on the PS3 (my 360 died 1 week before the games release) so may end up getting this on 360 just so I can get he new expansion.......

i think you can get them at Blockbusters at that price (if they have them in stock).

I think Blockbuster are selling GTA4 preowned for £7.99 but it's a hit and miss case of finiding a store with stock.

The tacked on life sim bits of SA (eating, gym, girlfriends, etc.) could be completely ignored but they were the precursor to the more realistic direction they took with GTA4. The world in SA was certainly alot more interesting. Up close it came nowhere near to the fidelity achieved by GTA4 (although this was more a restriction of the technology rather than the developers lack of ambition) it felt much more alive and had a huge amount more in it to see and do (grabbing the jetpack from Area 51, exploring the various airports/strips, going on a rampage in the small country towns, flying over the dam, climbing to the top of the mountain on a dirt bike, the driving schools, etc..).

For the spirit of the series (fun, destruction, social reference and great music) I'd say Vice City was the best, for ambition and scope I'd say SA and for technical achievement I'd say GTA4.

No I wouldn't sell my copy of GTA 4 for a fiver, however I might sell my copy of GTA 4 for £14 to Gamestation right now if they should happen to have this deal on instore as well as online.
