I'll buy it when it's £15 as I know I'll get bored of this one quite quickly.

Good price for others though.

Don't worry, you probably wont need to wait long!I know so many people that traded this in as soon as they completed it, as while the graphics are good and the story is OK, there doesn't seem to be any longevity in it.I completed it pretty quick, and since then, I can honestly say, I've only put it back on 1 or 2 times.I've been playing Saints Row far more than this, and while it is buggy with ****** graphics, is a far better game imo, and keeps you busy for far longer, Saints Row 2 is just round the corner too, so might be worthwhile just waiting for that!

Good price...great game....if you can get it to work properly!

I still play mine and I got it on launch day.

Mainly online though. A second copy would be nice as I wouldn't mind getting my brother online on his 360 (he never buys his own games) but I may wait till it's a little cheaper.

Thats it though, you really need to play it online to carry on actually enjoying it.Its by no means the bast of the GTA series, maybe not even the 2nd best, and I thought it was a bit of a let down, considering how it was basically announced when the 360 got launched, and I had been eagerly waiting for it since then.

Considering the amount of time for it to finally get realeased, it seems kinda rushed, concentrating too much on a "realistic" game if there is such a thing, and it takes away some of the fun that was had in all the other GTAs

GTA III was a little boring scenery wise so hopefully they will follow the same route and the next GTA game will be camp and funny like vice city but with GTA4 quality graphics and physics.

The lack of any real cheats/codes let it down a little as after completing a GTA game I usually mess about for months afterwards with riot modes and superpunches/jumps.

Excactly, Rockstar hit it big with Vice City, which imo, is one of the best games this decade, and is the best of the GTA series, with GTA3 behind that.Rockstar had an oppertunity here to take what they had done in the past, and add brilliant graphics to it, and make it a massive massive hit.
With the cheats, it would have certaily added the fun that I thought this GTA was lacking, it was a little too serious, and while there was daft bits, it kinda isnt on a par with Vice City, or Saints Row, where the dialogue from the pedestrians etc is hilarious.
Having a quick look at Saints Row 2, they seem to have sorted out the graphics issues they had in the first one, but have also added a level of customisation which has never been seen in any game before, full modify your appearence, decortae your crib, own businesses, loads of vehicles to use, fully interactive scenerey i.e. rip signs out the pavement to use as weapons etc.I think that after that comes out, just like with the first one, Rockstar have alot of work to do for the next GTA, and I reckon that if they miss the mark again with the next one like they did with GTA4, then they have lost the battle

so is it worth £20 if i havent played it before? or should i look on the Ebay?
#9
I guess it probably is worth £20, but if you can get it cheaper on eBay, then that would deffo be the best thing to do.It is a good game don't get me wrong, but it just leaves you wanting more at the end of it, which it doesnt really provide, unless you play it online, where every day is different lol.

Had a quick look there on eBay, theres a quite a few cheap ones that are ending in a few hours, so might be worthwhile watching tham and seeing what you get them for.

theres not a lot to do after the 35 hour long story mode, the graphics ARE great but i wish they'd have put in an option to make the game run at a smoother frame rate as its a little slow.
Also id try the more FUN 'san andreas' which runs on xbox 360, which has alot more vehicles (inc planes, jetpacks etc) and a huge variety of scenery to mess around in, your not stuck in a dull city all the time like gta4 the story is pretty good while it lasted though.
plus, all you want to do is get on with the story whilst your being text every 15mins askind if you want to go and play darts, pool etc; your only really gonna do the mini games once.
you just want to go and shoot some punks!

It might be 35 hours worth of story to complete all the stolen car tasks etc., but it deffo didn't take 35 hours to complete the actual story.Understandable figure if you count the side missions, I could be wrong, but I don't reckon its a 35 hour long game.

Well I am still loving it and bought it on launch day. But then I do just love messing about and chilling out, and I absolutely loved Crackdown which I know lots of folks wernt that keen on.

Horses for courses.
