Take it through QUIDCO for a little bit of cashback.

When a young street hustler, a retired bank robber and a terrifying psychopath find themselves entangled with some of the most frightening and deranged elements of the criminal underworld, the U.S. government and the entertainment industry, they must pull off a series of dangerous heists to survive in a ruthless city in which they can trust nobody, least of all each other.

Grand Theft Auto V for PC offers players the option to explore the award-winning world of Los Santos and Blaine County in resolutions of up to 4k and beyond, as well as the chance to experience the game running at 60 frames per second.

The game offers players a huge range of PC-specific customization options, including over 25 separate configurable settings for texture quality, shaders, tessellation, anti-aliasing and more, as well as support and extensive customization for mouse and keyboard controls. Additional options include a population density slider to control car and pedestrian traffic, as well as dual and triple monitor support, 3D compatibility, and plug-and-play controller support.

Grand Theft Auto V for PC also includes Grand Theft Auto Online, with support for 30 players and two spectators. Grand Theft Auto Online for PC will include all existing gameplay upgrades and Rockstar-created content released since the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online, including Heists and Adversary modes.

The PC version of Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online features First Person Mode, giving players the chance to explore the incredibly detailed world of Los Santos and Blaine County in an entirely new way.

Grand Theft Auto V for PC also brings the debut of the Rockstar Editor, a powerful suite of creative tools to quickly and easily capture, edit and share game footage from within Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online. The Rockstar Editor’s Director Mode allows players the ability to stage their own scenes using prominent story characters, pedestrians, and even animals to bring their vision to life. Along with advanced camera manipulation and editing effects including fast and slow motion, and an array of camera filters, players can add their own music using songs from GTAV radio stations, or dynamically control the intensity of the game’s score. Completed videos can be uploaded directly from the Rockstar Editor to YouTube and the Rockstar Games Social Club for easy sharing.

Soundtrack artists The Alchemist and Oh No return as hosts of the new radio station, The Lab FM. The station features new and exclusive music from the production duo based on and inspired by the game’s original soundtrack. Collaborating guest artists include Earl Sweatshirt, Freddie Gibbs, Little Dragon, Killer Mike, Sam Herring from Future Islands, and more. Players can also discover Los Santos and Blaine County while enjoying their own music through Self Radio, a new radio station that will host player-created custom soundtracks.

LAST CHANCE TO TRANSFER FROM PS3 & XBOX 360

Now is your last chance to transfer your existing GTA Online characters and progression from PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 to PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC. This will no longer be possible after March 6, 2017.

Experience the definitive version of GTAV, which features across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of detail, a video editor designed for advanced movie-making inside the game, and the massively upgraded GTA Online, with access to all the latest vehicles and gameplay from our continuing series of free updates including the recent Import/Export update.

Not much, they both use Rockstar Social. Just add it to your Steam client.

I believe the Steam key will let you download the game through Steam which may have its advantages given it is a large download.

ah, just bought it . I'd assume that rockstar would have some sort of download pause/resume client like steam?

Played this on 360, played this on Xbone, do I play though again? I'm tempted. Heat.

Such a good game and probably better than getting it on Steam as it has cloud saves on the rockstar client but this is missing on the steam version as I found out when I wiped my pc. :(

Heat added.

You'll also get the updates through Steam. The Rockstar Social club client can be a complete PITA in that regard. If I had to buy again and had the choice I'd get a copy through Steam and not Rockstar.

I downloaded all 66GB of GTAV through Steam in just under an hour. I think I peaked at 27MB.
#13
Plus if you are a achievement hunter then you do not get the access to the steam achievement with the rockstar version.

In case anyone's worried about download speeds from Rockstar's servers, this is a GTA V download saturating my 200Mb/s connection:

You download at only 22fps on PC? Download some more RAM first because that definitely helps.

Yeah...I'm not sure what's going on there, FRAPS has always picked up the GTAV installer for some reason and it's always running at an apparently really low FPS.

Thankfully the game itself doesn't suffer with the same issue! X)

That's not very quick. What's your connection speed supposed to be?

That's a total download time of about 2 days, isn't it (assuming it remains at 400KB/s)?

About 8-10 mbps usually. 2 days indeed. I think I should've shopped Steam. That's usually 1-1.5 for me.

I feel for you, I take it Virgin Media don't operate in your area?

Do you have any mates or family who have a decent fibre connection you could use? As you can see from my screenshot, a saturated 200Mb/s connection means it's downloaded in well under an hour (46 and a half mins @ 200Mb/s or 25MB/s, to be specific).

No. That's country living for you. Most of the time it does everything I need. Rockstar downloads seem to be notoriously sluggish.

Glad I saw this thread as it reminded me to transfer my PS3 stats over to PC, shame it doesn't do the single player stats as I have millions for each character..

You don't have to, you just can if you want.

It's certainly not a reason to call the whole game "rubbish", especially since it only applies to the multi-player side.

I used the stock markets when doing the Franklin assassination missions, I think by the end all 3 characters were either billionaires or had hundreds of millions each. Plenty to buy up all the properties & never worry about money again. ;)

Try logging in, it might be one of their stupid "VIP" (in other words, you have an account with them) prices.
