It's curiosity for me... Graphically the AA should be awesome on my PC but i am hoping for a bit more than that. It's bad isn't it? :D

Finally now I can get some use out of my graphics card!
Fed up with the game producers rushing to release games for consoles for quick profits and then leaving the pc gamers waiting!

Best price yet but still waiting for the download version from Steam, Guessing it will be on preorder 2 weeks before 27th so 13th?. I also have it on PS3 but I travel a lot on business so the idea of being able to play it on my laptop instead of having to pack my PS3 each time is very very appealing. Also has anyone tried using there PS3 controller on a PC, lots of sites seem to have hacks to do it but not tried?. Wouldn't be able to use mouse and keyboard on this after using a controller for so long. (sorry got a bit off topic there).

I play with mates messing around in multiplayer to be honest. A lot of modding opportunities especially for the PC. Ill do the story mode at some point, but for me...multiplayer all the way. I have my PC gaming mates and my Xbox mates, Lots of antics to be had. I love it.

Rockstar has taken the somewhat unusual step of re-confirming that the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V will be released on January 27. But its response to nervous forum users may not be quite as unequivocal as everyone would like.
The statement came in reply to an incredibly succinct inquiry on the Rockstar forums about whether or not the game has been delayed. "GTAV will be coming to PC on January 27th," Rockstar wrote. "We have not announced any changes to the date at this time."
The first sentence is clear enough, but the second one comes off as somewhat squishier. It's almost certainly just the usual corporate-speak boilerplate—and yet Steam continues to list the game as launching in "Early 2015," despite January 27 being just 18 days away. The system requirements haven't been released yet, either. For a game we're meant to be playing in less than three weeks, that seems a little odd.

Agreed. GTA5 SP just seems like a whole load of the same. First person mode on next gen is nice whilst driving but that's about it. The actual core gameplay mechanics are stale, the controls aren't great and I don't think they've innovated since San Andreas. And the missions are so horribly boring. It does confuse me as to why COD gets ragged on so badly for not changing the formula (atleast pre-Advanced Warfare) but barely anyone seems to care about GTA doing the same thing over and over again.

If you can just use a wired Xbox 360 or Xbox One Controller, the drivers are built into windows so work no problem & most PC Games have an Xbox control scheme.

I emailed them regarding this and told me only if you choose the tracked shipping option which will add £2 on top i think?

Be careful because this won't use Steam. The product code in this will be for social club. You have to buy this game from Steam to actually get the Steam version.

Shush, it is one of the best AAA titles in years. If you find this game dull then I would love to know which ones you enjoy and nobody can deny that it is an impeccably well constructed piece of software.

Not a chance in hell. If you want to play this properly then you will need dedicated video. Most laptops will not be up to the job.

I think I'll buy it from Amazon, the download will be available after midnight on the 27th. It's my final 2 days off work so no time to waste.

Depends if theyve bothered to optimise it properly or just another sh*tty console port.

I'm glad next gen is x86 as it helps pc but I also feel like PC will just be handed the console games. Hopefully they'll use the saved time to make pc games more optimised.

Last several Rockstar games have all been like that, so it seems highly likely.

I've googled a bit and : GTAIV was GFWL + RSS for multiplayer. Max Payne 3 after doing some research was not steamworks for the retail version but Rockstar Social Club DRM.

Can't seem to find a definite answer about GTAV - so will need to wait and see.

What he says is 100% true. Rockstar games don't use steamworks.

Agreed, the multiplayer is great fun, some of the funniest gameplay I have in ages :D

There's a much greater variety of gameplay in this than virtually any other multiplayer game out there.

I'm holding off on this until the game is out. It's very unusual for the PC requirements to still be un-released at this stage. The game launches in two weeks. Many people believe this indicates a bad port, which R* have been known for.

Inb4 "It's the Max Payne guys doing it". That was developed for PC alongside the console version. GTA V is being ported.
