It's a seriously good price if it's confirmed as working but too much of a lottery for me at the moment. I hope it works for the peeps who give it a go, though! :)

All versions use Rockstar DRM. The version bought from Steam uses Steam DRM on top of Rockstar.

lol don't i feel smart haha. Anyhow I tried the code and i kept getting an error, but i managed to click on the section on the right where it says the code and added the game to the basket for $23.
just ordered this lastnight from nuuvem for £20 as they got more codes in, pre installing as we speak!!!!! shame its probably not going to be done before tuesday :p

once downloaded with a VPN, does this need to be played (online or offline) with the VPN active too, or is it just for the download?

Just bought and downloading now. Was able to choose any language and nothing hinting at chinese so far. For those that cant get the code to work like I couldnt just go to the VIP section the price is the same as using the code.
Also no VPN was needed to activate the game code on my end only to purchase from GMG. I dont think you need a VPN at all once you get the code.

I just bought it for £16.49 via paypal which is $23.40.
I used firefox and downloaded FlyVpn client and entered the trial user id found on the right hand side of this page

Once logged into FlyVPN, i used the chinese server.
I used ipleak.net to prove my connection was chinese.
I then clicked the hotukdeals link and it took me to the VIP section showing $29.99.
I then added to basket and then logged into my UK GMG account. I have no play credit, etc.
I had 15 mins to complete transaction but i faffed about reading all the comments here and the FlyVPN connection disconnected saying i have to connect again after 5 mins for free trials. F that! As the game was already in my basket, i just continued to see what would happen with no VPN.
I entered the coupon code SAVE22-OVERHO-LIDAYS and pressed apply which gave me a 22% discount of $6.59 so final price was $23.40.
I then paid selected paypal, logged in using the same email address as my gmg account and proceeded to pay via paypal, was returned to the GMG site and got the key!
So moral of the story for me at least, add the game into your basket whilst being logged in via Chinese FlyVPN ad then disconnect before applying code. I have now uninstalled FlyVPN, and am about to switch on my gaming rig and enter the code to start downloading.
£16.49 ! Nice one Jay Stan..... now off to download the game
