Probably worth noting if its glass or granite it's more for prep than it is for chopping...

As preciously mentioned this is a sure way to destroy your knives.

Shame they are not as big as others, these make fantastic isolation platforms for your hi fi to get rid of vibrations, some people use half tennis balls under each corner, I use foculpods and polipods, it makes a huge difference.
