Yes they are...at blunting your knives VERY quickly. No point spending ages getting a perfect scalpel sharp edge on your knives then raping them with a slab of granite. Common sense (and physics) tells us granite is a lot harder than steel so please don't use these as a chopping board. They make a much better place mat.

Anyone know how big they are, I have
A monitor audio RSW12 subwoofer and 2x RX6 speakers, would be great for all these to sit on.

Get a couple of these and stick them under your speakers, reducing vibrations and (hopefully) making them sound better! :p

I remember when they were last on HUKD and they were about the size of a table mate if that helps with the size and depth :)

Can't go into poundland without spending a small fortune. Worth a look. x

My hi-fi sits on granite slabs.Looks great and does help with sound.
Me and a mate got a load years ago from a local undertakers dirt cheap.Even cut to size for us for free.
They were probably hoping they'd get our "business" when we pop our clogs. :)

wonder how long it'll be before these show up on ebay again? saw one listing last time costing £15 each (inc p+c) - funny thing was they did seem to be selling, even though they were still in store in pundland !! oO

Hmmm - maybe that's were horacevankhute buys them - Iwonder would paying an inflated ebay price be sufficient to overcome the embarrasment of a poundland product? ;)

Might buy a load and glue em together rather than spend a huge amount on a granite worktop from b&q.
#27
wish we had them down here, our poundland gets all the rubbish.

Does that go for Lidl and Aldi too?
You snob!

Dear horacevankhute,
Hi horace im sure ive told you before that if you can spend £900 on a tv and don't want to get yourself a bargain by going into shops like poundland, lidl, aldi etc then this site isn't for you and the sooner you get off this site and stop making ridiculous remarks the better as you purposely seem to annoy people.

yours sincerely

every HUKD member

Petition signed. I imagine some of you could come into contact with his butler in the next few days. :{

Like a chocolate ashtray they are useless and not fit for purpose, these are not designed to be used as cutting boards, they will kill your knives very quickly!

Why do you think they are in Poundland folks!

I never use them as chopping boards cause they are too heavy to wash. But they are very good & fancy next to the cooker, as a safe place to put hot pots on

You are the biggest troll on this site.
Why do you come looking for bargains when all you want in your lush pad is everything with an apple logo because samsung or HTC would not be good enough
or Sony because an LG badge would make you look cheap.

You have really big issues and i hope you never feel the money pinch because it looks like it may seriously affect your well-being.
