It's happened before. Can't remember what it was (also a produce item) but the barcode contains the price e.g. 999999999"100"9, I expect what the barcode really reads is 99999999999"1"9

Hope that makes sense to you all! This should be fixed before long, so snap them up quick if you want some!

Very unlikely to be Nationwide.

The barcodes at morrisons never change for Pre-Packed items such as apples.

More likely to be an error by the cashier that you had, missing the "00" key.
#6
That dosn't make sense, why would a morrisons cashier manually enter prices?

That's the reason why they have barcodes.
#7
Are Granny Smith apples barcoded then? That means they come in a pack of 6 or 8 then, right? So you're paying 1p for 8 apples?
#8
Can anyoneconfirm this please before we make an early shopping trip :-D
#9
Incase the Barcode can't be read by the scanner?
#10
Granny Smith's taste horrid, but I'm thinking 'cider'...............

Gets wheelbarrow and heads down to Morrisons :)

Not many things would get hot that way and by the time they did, there's a good chance the deal would've expired already.

I have no doubt you got them for 1p, and not reduced, but this was the cashier's error I'm afraid.
