I saw this at the IMAX and loved it. How does it hold up on the smaller screen?

Rent IT then forget about it..... that's how plop it is. No worth buying and i have no idea the fascination in it cause there's no way they would have let her up there in the first place........

Good tense film. No car chases for the multiplex crowd. Hitchcock said you should be able to make a film in a wardrobe. It feels like you're in a spacesuit yourself.

Rubbish movie - if you're selected as an astronaut you would be trained to handle situations and to not panic -
just like a diver is.
Soo many stupid unbelievable things happened in that movie, why only one jet-pack? Why did he blast
it as they were closing on the ISS that made them go in too fast?
Why did her oxygen drop quickly from about 10% to 1% and then last for about ten minutes? Simple things they could have
made work if they had of done it properly.

I thought this was a good film, made even better by the special effects and 3d. I watched it on a 50" 3dtv and the 3d is some of the best I've seen. Well worth getting in 3d if you have the equipment.

Isn't this also currently free on Google Play Movies?

At least it was for me when I started up my new Samsung Tab S last week

Really, really?

why and how would they train you for such an event?

would you have to learn Russian and Chinese too?

why go all that trouble when you could develop better escape tech...

oh yeah most things, even space stuff, has to wort to a budget... coz were as a species spending too much on weapons.
but I digress..

good movie good deal!

3D is the only way to watch this film. It's actually a little dull without it.

Ok film though a few plot holes and Clooney's smugness really grates. Loved the ending although I thought a crocodile might come out of the water and eat her LOL

Preferred Interstellar on balance, a deeper and better story

A one watch at the cinema film for me...as a spectacle, you can't beat it. However the small screen shows up its many flaws and overt symbolism....'ooooh I had to go into space and nearly die before I could stand up and walk again and forget about that bad thing'.

Bullock's **** did look banging mind, especially in 3D.

You do realise Bigfootpete (?!) that it's only a film, they aren't really in space!

It is absolutely pointless not having this film in 3D.

Humans aren't machines.
Only one astronaut had a jetpack on (not one in the entire space station).
It's just a movie :)

First the explosions were the best part about the film granted (Small brain went nuts when that happened!!)

Second being force fed good reviews because there was nothing else worth viewing at the time of release making the film a blockbuster is like stopping all releases for a year and re-releasing Spice world and only Spice World it's bound to be nominated for best picture of the year and intake a enormous amount of money. (And breathe) Yay Spice up your life!! me* starts dancing in his little brain.

I'm sure you have watched Alien "In the vacuum of space no one can hear you scream?" get over the Imax and green screen and what have you got?

A film that they are trying make as realistic as possible - the closer to realism the better the experience for the cinema-goer.
So they could have made it a lot better with just a few changes.
Armaggedon wasn't a particularly good movie but it was more realistic than this movie.

Totally agree - one of the few films that are enhanced by 3D, even on a 42" tv. The whole idea is that you you have no concept of what is the right way up or down and the perspective of deep space.
