Are they better than the 2800mah AA's in Aldi at £2.99?
#2
Not heard of these before, I tend to stick to known names for batteries.
#3
I use this site, quality batteries - http://www.palo.co.uk/

These hold less charge (2100mAh) BUT they keep it for longer.
Great for using in a digtal camera if it doesn't get used often.

Look for the green batteries - about 4th offer down.
£5.45 for 4
Quoting from their desc..

6 months About 80% of charge is held
12 months About 70% of charge is held (normal nimh would be empty)

You mustn't have looked very hard!

I won't be buying any more standard NiMh batteries now that Hybrio-type ones have become so affordable... and are almost fully charged when you get them , or months after they have been charged.

A good few on here use Vapextech with good results:

They have cheaper higher powered standard ones, and also cheaper 2100mah hybrio-type ones - a little lower power, but at least they have a charge when you want to use them!

Out of stock.

As others have said, hybrios etc are the way forward anyway. Not a lot of use for these anymore.

They're part of Uniross. It's a good deal, nothing special, but worth some heat.

So, let me get this right..... it's a second-rate brand, that is more expensive and less highly power-rated than others, let alone dearer than newer technology, and it has also been posted before your comment that it is out of stock too - so that makes it a hot deal in which way?

I know there is a lot of nothing on this site at the moment - credit crunch or not, there is NOWT much qualifying as a hot deal, but I do have difficulty reconciling the heat of some postings! :-(

Wind your neck in dude. If you check the times of postings you'll see that I was writing my post at the time the one about it not being in stock was posted, so I didn't see it.

I'd apologise for offending you so much that you felt you had to write a whole post to reprimand me but I won't because I don't give a ****.

Getting upset over a pack of batteries. Get some perspective.

Hear hear! Nearly as out of perspective as the other thread where someone voted a multi tool cold because it may get used in knife crime! Who are these dunces?

In my experience not really. I have used both and both seem fine. I can't say I have really had the chance to evaluate the long term charge holding ability of these Encore's, normal rechargeables seem good enough. I got the Encore's when they were on offer in Asda last year, they were about £2.90 for 4 as I remember.

Who's upset? I think it is you who appears upset, especially relevant, as you say it, all over a pack of batteries!

You seem to be the one with the anger management problem, as well as shortage of sense of proportion in addition to lack of simple arithmetic abilities!
Offensive with it - therefore you join the list of others on my ignore list.

For the hard of understanding: This means you are now being ignored by me, and I won't see your posts again, as I doubt any will ever be of any interest to me. Now don't bother getting any more frustrated and worked up, I just will not see it anyway, but in case of doubt, you will find any abusive posts will be still seen by the moderator :-)

As you are just someone who hasn't even got the originality of thought, but just jumps on the bandwagon of someone else's opinion... I don't think you even qualify for the explanation, so see earlier post.

Ignored!
