Hello people!

Right I've been looking for a replacement MP3 player to come with me to the gym. I had a few requirements;

Needs to be small

Needs to be easy to use

Needs to have a screen to see what's going on (Unlike the standard creative stone)

Needs to have a clip to attach to t-shirt / shorts while I'm exercising.

Now I used to use the Creative stone 2gb plus and had to buy a seperate case which included a clip which worked well but I've found the Sandisk clip 2gb.

Why is it better? The user interface is certainly more intuitive in my opinion and much more responsive.

Also around the size of a matchbox you'll hardly notice it's on you!

All this for £26.73 delivered (Super save delivery though) from Amazon.

One thing I will say is you will likely need to buy a seperate pair of earphones as the bundled ones aren't much use. I suggest the Sennheiser cx300's from at £15 which are really good.

Oh here's a link to the manufacturers website for more info

These give you an idea about the size of it.

The clip is removable too. if you look at the video on the seccond review I posted it shows how easy it is to remove the clip and put it back on. It also shows the speed of the interface and how quick it is to boot up from being off.

Finnally a whole lot more info for those that can't be bothered going to the sandisk website;

This is an excellent piece of kit while it works, but I had 2 give up on me completely after 6 months so didn't get another one after that. They just suddenly stopped being recognised by any computer or charging.

Also, I paid £19.99 for it from Amazon last year, though I have seen the price creep up to £32 since then. I assumed the price had gone up as they had been discontinued :thinking:
Good price on this, but to eliminate other MP3s on the need to have a clip to attach to shirt or shorts seems somewhat puzzling to me when there are far more secure methods with neoprene arm strap holders, then you find there is a wealth of other flash based MP3 players that are equally suitable for exercise.
also 2gb about 1/3 of the price, no clip, but for £9.99 its a steal!"
these are excellent players, for many more reasons than having the clip (i actually take the clip off, don't need it)
BUT the price is too high, i paid this for a 4GB over a year ago!

4gb for around £35, currently OOS everywhere though?
2-4 weeks..

Agreed. You certainly found the better deal mate and if there any in my local stores I'd have got one but unfortunately seems only some stores will have them in. For those that do have them in it's an absolute steal though.
you can get ipod shuffle cheaper than this! lmao

The shuffle has far worse sound and hasn't got a screen.
good price. I was looking for an mp3 player and bought this just last friday. samsung 2gb from bargaincrazy at £25. postage costs £3.95 but didn't mind paying as I got many other things all over 70% off normal price (jeans for £4 etc). Worth looking into if you are a female (as the women's clothes are a steal)..
To the chump that said you can get an ipod shuffle for cheaper than this......

The Ipod shuffle does not have:

A radio, a screen so that you can see what you're actually changing, track information,
the ability to custom set loudness or the equalisers without hooking the unit up to a pc

The Sansa has a battery life of about 15hrs- Apple don't even mention this detail under the Shuffles technically spec they dodge the question by telling you how long it will take to charge it up to 80%, useless information to dodge its woeful performance.

Hook the Sansa up to a decent pair of earphones and it works Supremely.

I had a nano, which is a better model than the Shuffle and the Sansa wipes the floor with it, and you don't have to suffer the stupid itunes software.

Shuffles are ****- If you place greater emphasis on aesthetics to functionality when "listening" to music then you're a fool, my nieces have shuffles, they bitch about the them all the time and they are 9 and 11 respectively.

I've got a Zen Stone (paid £10 a few months back). It does have a clip but it attaches to the case/skin that comes with it and probably isn't secure enough for running. I tend to clip in into the top of a pocket and it works fine. Other than that it's great.
