In Tesco, they are selling a months supply of contact lenses for £10.

Are there any colour charts? Also, can't seem to find where it allows you to make a choice of what colour you want...

I see what you mean. Daft to me. but definitely instore as I was at the opticians instore yesterday and one of the girls working on that department has one eye Amythest and the other Hazel and looked good. Certainly a talking point. Cosmetic only.

Sounded good but I think you have to buy 3 months worth?? I could be wrong though.

nope not true I work there, it's a pair for £10 and that includes prescription if required and also fitting and sight test if you are due one. you can only buy 1 pair if you wish
#7
Oh thanks! But where because the link above takes you to lenses at £9.50 but with buying 3 months worth. Can't seem to find £10 for a month or am I just being thick?

It's all a bit confusing.

So you get 30 pairs of coloured lenses but can you mix and match colours within those 30 pairs?

This should help clarify:

1) These are MONTHLY contact lenses. Not daily. You have one pair of lenses per month that are reworn.

2) You get one pair per month you pay for.

3) They include prescription. They are NOT purely cosmetic. Although you should be able to order plano lenses (+0 strength) but don't be sure Tesco will send them without a valid prescription - I don't know what their policy is on this

4) Please don't just go ordering contact lenses if you've no idea about them. They aren't easy to put in/take out if you're not used to them, and imho aren't worth messing about with just for a subtle eye colour change that everyone will be too drunk to notice anyway. That and you unnecessarily risk getting eye infections etc.

There is lots of dodgy advice given about these, and they aren't really a toy to be messed about with. Eyes are delicate and very important.

Will these colour lenses actually be seen over someone with BROWN eyes? i remeber a few mths back the missus was looking into coloured lenses and they dont work properly over brown eyes.

I work at an opticians and we sell these lenses. IMO they're not very good quality and are difficult to insert and remove in comparison to better quality lenses - plus a lot of people find them fairly uncomfortable and they tear very easily.

The effect you get in terms of colour depends very much on your natural eye colour. This brand tend to show up pretty well even on darker eyes - a good optician should allow you to try them on before buying though, to be sure you're happy with the colour.

And, as Anarchist says, these are still a medical device which should be used carefully.

Wouldn't wear these on a night out - if you happened to pass out they'll be a pain to remove in the morning.. if you can find them!

Cheers for that! Been wearing these for years and I have brown eyes. The true sapphire ones show up really well but the others seemed to make not much difference when I tried them.

These lenses are relatively poor quality compared to the other monthlies available. But as they're monthlies, they aren't nearly as bad as dailies for falling asleep in (believe me, dailies get glued to your eyeballs when you crash in them, these aren't half as bad but are still not brill)

How well the colours work, does massively depend on your own eye colour. Don't look at the pictures and expect yours to look identical - more often than not they won't.

Anyone know where you can get prescription coloured lenses online?
