knowing sod all about fireworks, but wanting to put on a display for my 2 year old, would I need to get a few different boxes, or just one (the most expensive)?

Be carefull, read the distance on the box 5 metres or 25 metres, if you have a small Garden only go for the 5 Metres, if you're Garden is smaller than 5 metres don't buy any.

I think the price might be where you wnet wrong. We bought about £50 worth of these Aldi ones (a couple of boxes + a big multi shot) and had a great time amongst us and about 30 friends.

I think the main brands give little more in the way of oooh's and aaaah's than these dead cheap aldi fella's

Oh and do pay attention to minimum distances / safe practice. My garden was on the edge of being safe and it was pretty darn close for the specators!!!
