Welcome to HUKD McDogs. :)

You can't include Quidco in the price, without the Pre-Quidco price.
#2
The pre Quidco price is £314 sorry
#3
Unfortunately although this is a great deal it is now showing as available for reserve and collect instore only.
Currys only allow discount vouchers to be used on home delivery items, so no discounts available at present and most likely no quidco either!
Hot deal, if only it was available...
#4
It was showing as collection only last night too but when I ordered mine this morning delivery was available, it seems to change by the hour so it's worth keeping and eye on it ;-)
#5
Thanks - will do!

You can get quidco on reserve and collect at currys (3% iirc).

any good 60gb deals?

Yep I'm too looking for a 60GB PS3, anyone know where they are still available to buy brand new and at a reasonable price?
#10
The only place I found that still has any 60 gig PS3's in stock is Amazon but they start at £399 with no games
#11
Doesn't a 'play & charge' cable come with the console any more?!

Its just a standard USB cable - I think with the 360 you have to buy a special cable to perform what should be a standard function in this day and age. All PS3s come with a USB cable for charging the controller, as you need it to link up the controller with the console in the first place.
#13
Thanks russ. I'm aware of what the cable is but I was confused as to why a 'play & charge' kit has been added to the bundle if one (the standard USB cable) is already included!

I think that the PS3's USB charge cable seems a bit 'basic' compared to the 360's play & charge kit but at least it's free! :)
#14
how is this hot when I got the 60gig for the same price and 3 top games
#15
Where from ? that's an amazing price

Care to flesh out that remark with a little more information?

For example when, where and how?

Lack of good games makes this console the least appealing of the Three consoles (not even backward compatible and no feedback in the joypad), get a Wii or a 360 arcade at half the price..

*Yawn* Not the old 'The PS3 has no games' chestnut.

Care to try and think of an original one or do you intend to sound like a sad fanboy for the rest of your life?

not even backward compatable

60GB PS3 is backward compatable and the 40GB PS3 is PS1 BC

Good to see you deleted your 'feedback controller' comment too, which was also wrong.

Where idid you get 60GB one from for that price? That's an awesome deal!

My guess is he's either quoting a clearance deal, done at the end of the 60GB's production life last autumn or he got a good deal on fleabay / mate / local Friday-Ad type paper.

Or it could be he was just talking out of his **** seeing as how he's not bothered to post since.

He's just stating a fact, that games on the Wii and 360 are far superior than on PS3. It's you who is being all defensive about the PS3, so clearly you are the fanboy

Great comeback(!) No really.

Defensive how? I own all 3 consoles and I'm sick of hearing that old, old quote of 'no games', especially when the PS3 software and hardware sales in Europe are more respectable these days and forever gaining momentum.

Unlike you two who seem to feel the need to bash on a console I can appreciate all three machines have merits and faults but 'lack of games' really can't be levied against the PS3 any more.

No, he's stating an opinion.

Please don't fill this thread with the usual argument- Your personal platform preference isn't anything to do with the deal at hand, so keep it on topic please

So it was a clearance deal and also no longer available. The deal posted in this thread is one of the best currently available.

I got my 60GB PS3 from a local seller (No postage), brand new, with receipt, and one game via eBay last May for £320

if its any help virgin card holders can to go zavvi and get a PS3 with GT5, ANY chart game, a second official pad and a bluray for 302 ish
#30
PS3 vs 360 (That old argument :) ), I own both.

Just a quick example, Call of Duty 4 : Modern Warfare, great game for playing online. Both 360 and ps3 Versions are same looks wise, one huge difference though, you can play it online for as much as you want for free on the ps3. That is why I prefer the PS3, no monthly charges for playing online, and blu ray of course.

Both great machines though, love the two of them but love my PC More :)

Good deal BTW, if there are currently no better ones then surely this is hot

Good price!
#32
We've had a few of these lately... sub £300 and with 2 games and that's without messing around with quidco. Not hot.

Yeah although I really struggle to see why its an "optional" extra for the 360. Everyone has to buy it really and it should be standard. But the 360 is all about "optional" extras, and usually microsoft branded pehiperals (ie hard drive, play and charge kit etc).

Ooooh my 60 GB PS3 shipped today (can't believe it). Just over £330 w/ Blu-Ray w/ HDMI cable.

I just hope when I open the box tomorrow that a 40 GB isn't staring back at me!

where where where? where do i get this???? My OH is doing my head in!!!!
#37
I bought a 60Gb PS3 with three games of my choice and an extra controller for £303 as well! It is not rubbish.

It was when everyone was going on about the PS3 saying people were wasting there money on them. I bought it End of September/ beginning of October last year at Virgin megastores with a virgin credit card :)
#38
I have just got a PS3 40gb with one game thrown in for £265 from play using their 5% off code
