Hey,

Lidl will be stocking Weco fireworks this year which are a german brand.
These are the fireworks that Aldi used to stock until a year or two ago.

They are brilliant fireworks, probably the best you can buy from the supermarket, I would totally recommend them!

Skyline Rockets(6)- £3.99
Cocktail of Rockets(8)£6.99 (Buy 2 for £12)
Cyber Box (16 pieces) £6.99 (Buy 2 for £12)
Fire Pack (17 pieces) £12.99
25 carat (25 shots) £6.99 (Buy 2 for £12)
Inpanema (30 shots) £6.99 (Buy 2 for £12)
Fire Fighter (86 shots) £9.99

-Videos can be found on the internet just search the firework brand and Weco.

Hope this is of some help to people!

UPDATE: WEBSITE DATE HAS CHANGED TO FROM FRIDAY FOR WECO FIREWORKS!

Just wanted to let everyone know so no one misses out! I will be going down tomorrow night, hopefully they will have some left!

--If anyone was following this thread and enjoyed their fireworks from Lidl they will be on sale again after Christmas for New Year. Most probably at discounted prices too!

BANG! oO

Cemu,

I dont actually know what they will be like, have searched the internet for a video but cant find any. I expect that they will be ok, they wont have a massive bang but I expect them to be a lot better than the TNT rockets which have always been rubbish in my opinion! Anyway at 3.99 for 6 of them even if they are just a bit of colour there something to add to your collection!

Here are a few videos of the above fireworks if anyone wants to see!

http://www.weco-pyro.de/cms/popup.player.php?detail=3248&name=25 Carat - 25 carat cake

http://www.weco-pyro.de/cms/popup.player.php?detail=3296&name=Ipanema - Inpanema cake

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQgg3qfDf8k - Fire fighter cake

Thanks go to Si7 from MSE for finding the videos.

When I was a kid in the 70's, we used to play with fireworks all the time. A friend placed a rocket in a milk bottle and lit it. The bottle fell over and the rocket launched a couple of hundred feet, straight through some old dears window in her bungalow and set fire to her kitchen.

Aaaaaah those were the days.............

we use to break the sticks so they would fly around in all different directions
or stick them in dog turds and explode them.
I feel sorry for all the poor cats this year

Watch out dan, the fireworks police will be on your case. (As some people are irresponsible some people think everybody should be banned, as if fireworks are a new thing)

Seems a good deal to me!

jdunks, they are brilliant Epic, one day I will get there! Bit too far for me to travel though. I have baught most of my fireworks already from the fireworks warehouse in st helens but want to buy some of Lidls range to add to that. They really are quality fireworks and if you HAVE to go to a supermarket these should be the choice!

Also ZedEx, yeah have noticed that on other firework threads from last year etc, hopefully people can look at it as a deal and not on their opinion!

I'm a hypocrite! I actually think they should be banned accept for at displays, but saying that while this isn't the case I buy them so my kids can watch daddy try not to burn the shed down. The Lidl ones were really good last year. :)

Have looked their web site and they look really good, with lots of choice. Do you have any experience and recommendation of a selection box suitable for young children (no big bangs), and includes some aeriel display as well as ground display. Somethings with some good visual effects, not just "phut-phut-finished".

You'll be advising us that we shouldn't have a relaxing pint whilst using them next.

In b4 someone votes cold just because they personally don't like the product, no matter if its the cheapest in the world, or best bargain in history

I just want bangers brought back.

Anyway, after living in Harrow for 25 years I hate fireworks, Diwali has driven me up the wall.

Cold from me, hate fireworks going off for months by idiots!!

Didn't see this at Lidl Tooting (London SW17) early yesterday! May be they haven't received stock by then, or stuck in a corner somewhere there.
The one in the picture above is £12.99 and not £3.99 as stated in the deal next to the picture here.

Are we voting here for our likes or dislikes about something or whether something is a good deal.
I was under the impression that this is a website to post and find good deals (in terms of cash price), not whether we like a product or not.

Yeah sorry have fixed it now.

I originally thought that you could put 2 prices in eg, £3.99-£12.99 but it wouldn't let me so had to go with the cheapest price!

Would also like to add that I bought some of these fireworks this morning! I would recommend the cyberbox to anyone who is on a budget and wants some nice fountains etc (you also get 2 60 shot roman candles in this pack). A good deal for a limited budget would be this pack (Cyberbox) and 25 carat to finish off your display, all for £12!

Please be aware that all of the packs from Lidl have 25m safety distance labels on!

The distance thing reminds me of last years joke of a box of fireworks from Morrisons.Said 20-30m safety distance yet the fireworks we got from them you would have been safe at 2 metres! Trully awful things and will be steering clear of them this year so might give these a try.

The real way to "watch your money burn"

Yes as a habitual money saver I have a nasty habit of equating each bang with the amount spent on the firework - thus spoiling my own fun...

... unless that is I've had several pints in which case a have a nasty habit of equating each bang with the amount I have to spend on repairing whatever the firework just struck...

Hot from me.

Its nice to see 90% for the use of Fireworks and only 10% against. It the 10% had there way the UK would be a far worse place than it is today. So Ffffffffffffffffff Uuuuuuuuuuuuuu!X)

Absolutely love fireworks night, perfect chance to chill with a few drinks and launch some whizzy-bang sticks. Yes, it is possible to have good banter with fireworks without being a chav/idiot.

Heat from me, good deal OP. Used a mix of Morrisons and Homebase last year so I'll be sure to get a few of these to sample!
#38
Rather ironic that the best supermarket fireworks come from Lidl! But its true, dont bother with Asda, Tesco etc. These are the next best thing to going to an all year retailer. Just ignore the bore's that want them banned and go fill ya boots :)

That's as may be.... but this is hotukdeals, If you can't say anything good about the deal, or offer constructive critism... Please dont bother... Some of us use this website for what it was intended!!
Heat Added... just to balance the books!!!

shame you can't get bangers anymore since the ban in 1998 - used to love lobbing them in milk bottles and shoving them up cats ****

Although disgusted I'm also slightly impressed you managed to get the milk bottles up the cats ****.. :3
