ELIZABETH.

and moving story of blind devotion and repressed love. Thompson plays the Darlington Estate's housekeeper
who falls in love with Stevens Hopkins) the dedicated butler, though neither will admit it and only vent their
feelings through fierce arguements. Featuring an all star cast including Christopher Reeve and Hugh Grant, The
Remains Of The Day achieved an astounding 8 academy award nominations from Best Picture to Best Actor and
Best Actress.
